Cool Bright Bold Color Help!!

My fiance's favorite color is Lime in which apple green is also acceptable so I wanted to incorporate it into my bridesmaid dresses. My favorites are fushcia, and a medium turquoise so my original plan was to pick one of my colors and find a dress with a main color and a accent color and make the accent color lime/apple... I couldn't find that and now I am getting distracted by the idea of all the girls in the same dress with 3 in fushia/hot pink, 2 girls in turquoise and the maid of honor in lime, OR i might do 2, 2 , and 2 and alternate them... I have no clue how this would look in reality have spent hours looking online and have bought way too many wedding magazines and didn't know if anyone had seen something like this previously? Would this look stupid? I also can find very few designers that carry a apple or lime color which is the main obstacle and would greatly appreciate any help in the right direction....Thanks, Cindy

Hmm..I'd go to a local bridal shop and see what they carry. If for some reason you can't get the colors you want you could always do a black bridesmaid dress and have the fuschia/lime colors incorporated through your flowers. That'd look great also! Good luck.

I like that idea! If you don't want to go with black still go with a dark color. The dark bridesmaids dresses are getting very popular nowadays. But yeah you need to go to the bridal shops and see what they have! Keep us posted!
We will help you out all we can

Thanks for the thoughts-- I am planning on using chocolate brown as a main decorating color and the brighter colors for accents and thought about doing that with the dress though the bright colors are more me... but then again my bridesmaids all vary in sizes from 2 extremes so maybe brown would be more flattering but it seems so dark for august plus my bm so far like the bright--ahh this is so complicated...

Yes you are right it is Difficult to find lime green. I know, My wedding in 2 weeks is lime green with black accents. I have posted a picture of my bridesmaid dress in my wedding journal if you want to take a peek at it. To be honest it has all worked out. The girls are mainly in black with a little bit of 'honeydew' which is a little bit lighter then lime green. The boys are in black tux with lime green vests and ties. My FH will match my dress (ivory and champagne). The reception is lime green to the floor with a black over lay with lime green napkins. I am also having midori sours for the cocktail hour which is a lime green drink plus one of my favorites. Flowers are jade roses (naturally lime green), lime green hydrangeous (hint of lime green naturally) and ivory spray roses. IF you need any help let me know, in about 2 weeks I will have pictures of my wedding.

Thanks so much for the support... I checked out the bm dresses and thought they were sharp and it helped since I do have bm that range in size ... I have checked out the jasmine collection before and was curious to see the honey dew in action : ) Love the ring by the way.. My fiance wants the grooms men in lime green vests... He didn't like the idea of the turquoise or the hot pink for them.... I do have one brother though that will be in the wedding that would not oppose to a hot pink vest but thats about the only one so Since I won't be able to match game I am thinking about all lime green... I can't wait to see pictures everything looks Gorgeous, Thanks Again

AfterHours if you have that store near you carries the lime green vests and ties, that is how my FH picked out the color he saw it at prom time last year. Good luck. I will show pictures after the wedding to help you a little.

Wink So I checked out some bridal shops

So I took the advice that I got, and checked out some bridal shops and found a picture that captured the look I was thinking of in my head and would like to know what you guys think... the only difference would be that the lemon color would be lime and the reddish color in the back would be non existent.... there would be 3 girls in the pink , 2 in the blue and the maid of honor in lime... I may end up going a different route depending , the bm of course will have a big impact but I want to think of my different options before I throw them all out there.... so feel free to let me know what you guys think or if you have any tips.... I still need to find more designers that carry all 3 colors because this style dress may not complement all of my bm seeing they range from both ends of the spectrum though I do love the chiffon and satin together, thanks again for the advice!!

My choices are sort of like yours. My first choice is, pool blue dresses with bright orange, lime green and fuschia flowers... Or, lime/melon green dresses with fuschia pink flowers. I don't think its stupid at all. Just pick colors that compliment one another. It would look great if you did lime green and turquoise blue dresses with fuschia flowers!!!! Have the BM wear a certain color and then go with the other color for the bridesmaids. Both colors look great with fuschia!!! Just a thought!!! Hope it helps...
