I was wondering if anyone else is sending their invitations now? I am so upset with the Post Office people it is unreal. To me our area has absolutely no quality stamps that I want on my freaking invitations. Is anyone else having this same problem?

But I need .63. The new wedding ones according to the web site are coming out March 1 but every stupid postal person that I talk to says they dont come out until the end of the month, and then others tell me the first or second of march. No one there can tell the same story I swear. I already have the "true blues" for my RSVP cards.

OMG, I didn't even think about stamps until I looked at this post. Not only will I need the stamps for the actual invitations, I will need them for the RSVP cards as well...huh?
For 100 stamps it is $40...that is so crazy. |

I posted the following on another thread but since the issue has come up thought I'd just copy it to this thread. Hope it helps!
FYI for everyone, www.stamps.com (click on the link for Photo Stamps) has stamps that you can personalize with a picture. They work the same way as regular stamps. You just upload a pic of your choice & the stamps will be mailed to you. The only down side is that they cost a little more than regular stamps but the more you order the better price break you get on them. It adds a really neat & personal touch to your invitations. Unfortunately, I didn't find out about them until I was already married so I couldn't use them for our invitations but I personalized the stamps with one of our wedding pics & used them for thank you notes and stuff like that. They got really rave reviews. ![]() |

I TOTALLY sympathize with you!! We mailed our invitations out two weeks ago, and the post office did not have a single $0.63 stamp, we would have had to buy a $0.60 stamp and put the ugly star $0.03 next to it.
It really ticked me off, how can they increase the postage but then not offer the right stamp for the increase? Arrgggg. We actually ended up putting two blue dove stamps on the invitations, it did cost us $0.15 more an invitation, but it was worth it to me, all the effort to make the darn invitations look good I wasn't going to ugly stamps on them . The darn postage wasn't much cheaper than our actual invitations!!!!

My post office said the new wedding stamps come out March 1 and that they'd have them March 2
They do you have a 37 cent stamp of two blue birds and I think it says love, but we need the 63's so we are waiting for them. Good luck MIGroom |

Ugh! I know what you mean. I bought my stamps right after they raise the postage cost. I had to use those stupid flag ones. I got over it though. I told myself it is only a stamp and they are going to throw away the envelopes anyways.

I want mine to be perfect too but looking back on all the invitations I've ever gotten, I can't say that I remember the stamps at all so I'll just use whatever is available (I have to send mine out in the next couple of weeks).
