Default How to ask guests not to wear black or white dresses at the wedding

Is there any way to ask guests not to wear this colors to the wedding? I didn't find anything on Emily Post's Wedding Etiquette. My daughter will like to be the only one wearing white on her wedding and black is a color she will like not to see. Her grandmother always said "White is for the bride in a wedding & black is for funerals" She passed away and my daugther always remember this and will like to honor her grandmother this way. Can something be done? Any ideas will be helpful. Thanks!

Someone else had this question on the boards under the "etiquette section." The replies were helpful, I thought!
