Default Photos as decorations

I'm having a fairy tale wedding so most of my decorations are cinderella type stuff. However for the reception I was wanting to find a creative way to decorate the area w/pictures of my husband and I, family, friends in the wedding, etc. I'm really into scrapbooking so I was thinking along those lines. I didn't really just want to put pictures up on a poster board....my brother did that at his wedding. Any ideas???

My Mom did this for our wedding. She just got a bunch of really cute frames and used them as centerpieces. Everyone loved seeing us as kids, and I loved watching everyone walk around the room to see more pictures. It helped with the "ice breaking" as well. Another idea that I have for you, is that if you would like, I can make a DVD for you of all of your photos. I did this for my sister-in-laws wedding, and we had it on repeat right at the door of the reception hall and we had to move it because everyone was getting jamed at the door. They ended up playing it as part of their reception. You can check out the posting I just did as well. It is right next to yours on the board. Email me if you want to. rburnham7@cox.net

I hope this helps!

There are places where you can get pictures printed on fabric. Maybe you could get some pics and have them printed on tablecloths (I saw one like that with black and white pics - very pretty!) or the napkins.
One idea that I thought about doing for my wedding is to have pics of the guests in a small frame as the placecards instead of just having their names written on a card. You don't even have to cut up real pics to do this, you could just scan them and then cut out the print-out. And in today's digital world it's not hard getting your hands on pics of your guests, they could just email you some!

I went to a wedding where at the entrance table they had a laptop set up with a slideshow running of various photos.
I'm planning on putting black and white family photos in silver frames, and having them on the entrance table.

i am planning to do this at my reception as well. bcause we couldn't get circle talbes we will be using banquet tables. i am having floral centerpeices in the middle of the table, and then half way down i will be putting two frams with their backs together so you can't see the back of the frames. i will put 2 ball candles (ebay) next to the frames as well as a handfull of fresh flower petals. Can you believe I've managed to round up 70 frames! I had about thirdty around my house, i bought some on ebay, and i am borrowing some from freinds. this really was not that expensive. we'll have pictures of the us from our begining days of dating (IN HIGH SCHOOL!) and pictures of family vacations, photos of our bridal party as well as of photos from our childhood. Hopefully it will be a nice ice breaker for our guests.

I helped plan a wedding that incorporated photos. I had the bride to be to scan all the pics that she wanted and I had put them into ice sculptures. They were actually large bowls of ice that surround her buffet tables and everyone could see all the pics through the ice bowls when they went to serve themselves. It was a smash hit!
Just a thought!

Since you are into scrapbooking, I know that each page has a different theme to them. So why not try using one table, making like 3 or four different tiers on it (decorating with lights and/or flowers), and making each a different theme for your pictures to display. It could be like your greeting table.

Default banner

For my wedding, my mother made two large banners (4' x 6') from felt in our colors. She used the removable glue spray stuff to mount photos from birth through present of each of us on matting and then on the banners (him on one, me on the other). Then she made a heart-shaped piece of felt on which she mounted our engagement photo. She attached this right in the middle to connect the two banners. We put it in the narthex of the church for people to see as they ***e in and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Hope this helps.
