Default Renting Wedding Gown?

I'm on a tight budget and can't imagine spending a ton of money on a dress I'm only going to wear once. Does anyone have any experience with renting a gown? Is it worth the money you save or should I just try to find a cheap dress to buy? Also, any suggestions on places that rent dresses? Thanks!

Candice

Never never never rent a wedding dress. If you are really that tight for money try a discount warehouse like David's Bridal or something but do not rent one and it is the most important day of your life I would say save up you can get a very nice dress for around $300-400.

You would not believe the deal I got for a dress. I was considering renting a dress but it would have cost me over $100.00 and I was going to try David Bridals and then I would still spend about $100.00+ but I just so happened to search ebay and I got a wonderful Jasmine Houte Couture dress for guess how much? $40.00. If you would like more information on the seller I could give you his direct link. I paid $15.00 for shipping and received it in 2 days and he has many more, I guess he owns a studio, but you can see his past sells and rave reviews and there are plenty more where that ***e from.

I am just begining my search and I thought that renting had to be a option. I may be able to splurge because wedding will be small in size. Thanks for all the advice. :-)

There is a gown outlet in Wahoo Nebraska and also in Lincoln off 27th St. You can get a dress for under $300 at either location...be careful though, they say all dresses are under $300 within the store but that's not actually true. Also try looking in the want ads of the sunday paper and ebay.

I was in the same boat. We are renewing our vows for our 15th anniversary and I don't want to spend a fortune. I went to Bailey's Bridal (in flint, MI) and on their discontinued rack I found the dress I wanted at Davids bridal that was $450.00. I got it for $156.00 Look around because some places are tryin to get rid of last years designs, also this was the one that people tried on and they are cleaning it for free. Good Luck!!

i'm buying mine and i'm on a very small budget. I just don't want to have to deal with renting it...and all. Plus, I want something that is mine and if I decide to I can always sell it afterwards.

msmissy what's the name of the seller you got yours from?
