Default masquerade ball

OK, so I just have to ask everyone's opinion on this one, I'm not actually doing it but I've always thought it would be cool.

What does everyone think of have a masquerade ball reception. I've always been big into the theatre and have always thought this would be really cool. It would be a ****** to pull off seeing as you would have to convince all of your guests to dress appropriately but I've always though it would be fun.

I personally would love to go to one! I probably wouldn't want to host it because it would be a pain, but I would love to do that! It reminds me of my favorite movie of all time, Labryinth (yes the one with David Bowie and young Jennifer Connely and all the monsters) I love the scene where they are in the bubble and everyone is dressed up like the goblins! I'll have to find a pic of that somewhere to show those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about!

I just got that a couple months ago on DVD (scared the crap out of me when I was little) and it sparked a 3 week long discussion about it at work (I had the Dance Magic Dance song stuck in my head and started "singing" it in our chat room).

I think it would be awesome. But I agree with you ladies...it would be hard to pull off.

Ben hates it when I start singing the songs! Of course I know every last song in the movie word for word, actually, probably the entire movie word for word! I have the video from when I was little and then Ben bought me the DVD when we first started dating! Boy does he regret that now! Love it!

Yeah... I'm not sure how long me being "clean" will last...

Ryan only gets mad when I get songs in his head (umm.. all the time), but he's very good at getting worse ones in mine... He's learned all he has to do is say "You put the Lime in the coke and you drink it all up" and I'm a basketcase for the rest of the day. (I'm so glad that commercial appears to have only been on for a few days before it got pulled.)

He gets annoyed when I turn the radio up when he's singing (I swear, it's just too low) or say the lines along with movies.

Ooh... just thought of one way to make this easier to pull off. Have some of those feathery masks and capes around for anyone who doesn't dress up. They don't wear them, they aren't allowed in.
