Default Mother/ Daughter Song

HI! I am trying to find a mother/daughter song to play at my reception. I HAVE ONE FOR MY DANCE WITH MY DADDY BUT IT SEEMS UNFAIR TO RECONIZE HIM AND NOT HER. SHE IS JUST AS IMPORTANT TO ME AND I WANT TO DO SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR HER TOO. IT APPEARS THAT THERE ARE NO SONGS OUT THERE FOR THIS. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS? MY WEDDING IS IN JUNE. I NEED HELP QUICK. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

How about Wing Beneath My Wings, or Because You Loved Me...something along those lines. My Momma and I are dancing to Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams....because it used to be her fave song when i was a little girl so she listened to it all the time and i got hooked-i love that song. so its kinda like 'our song'. I know its nothing special and makes no sense really, but its us. We are having a special dance, just having the song played sometime during the reception and dacing together. Do you and your mom have anything like this that you could do?

The best song for a mother/daughter dance is by Martina McBride and it is called "In My Daughters Eyes" it is a country song but it is gorgeous!!!! If you happen to watch Oprah, the day she had the world's biggest baby shower she had matrina mcbride on and she sang it and everyone cried! My father died before I was born and My mom is giving me away and this is the song we are dancing to...the cd it is on is called Martina

I have to agree with you this is a gorgeous song. I do not know if I will have a mother/daughter dance because mom really doesn't like to dance. I will be doing good to get my dad out on the dance floor. I am thinking of using "Daddy's Hands" for that dance.

I haven't thought about those types of dances yet. Maybe you can pick one song that you can have the FFIL/bride and FMIL/groom dance too. This would mean you only have to pick one song. Is there a song that all four of you like? If you want two dances, then I would suggust finding a song that the people who will dance together both like.

I like Faith Hill- You can't loose me! It's a great song if you're really close to your mom!

I am going to dance with my mom at my wedding in 10 months July 7, since my dad died two years ago. I have found a couple of good songs such as: Somebody's Hero by Jamie O'Neal and “To Be A Woman”, written by multiple Emmy-winning songwriter Gloria Sklerov and her co-writer, Barbara Rothstein, you can find that song on http://store.weddingsongsandmore.com/soformymo.html Hope this helps
