is a cd player tacky for an outside wedding? i don't really know what else to do- a band or any live music really isnt an option because my budget is already way out of control.

I would probably still try to get a DJ or something....and then cut expenses elsewhere, simply since you don't want to do a ton of work or make any of your guests, which they will need to with the CD player.

Many rental companies have speaker and cordless mic systems you can rent.
My weddings also outdoors and we're borrowing a sound system from a friend who has a band. We're having him queue the music (just a processional and recessional) at the ceremony, then we're burning a CD for the reception. He's also going to do a little MCing to announce the wedding party, toasts, tosses, etc. |
