Smile Princess Wedding Theme?

We are having our wedding in late August of 2005. We need some ideas for decorations, party favors that are consistent with the princess theme. Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm seen some little glass slippers at Walmart, they looked really cute and not too cheesy. I think they priced at about 4.50 for 12. I hope it helps

Hi!
For your reception how about lots of tuille and lights or candles? Drape tuille around windows, tables and/or doorways. Tuck or drop little flowers in the folds of tuille. Where you bring up the tuille (where it will drape) tie it with ribbon (leave some long strands hanging down) and surrond it with flowers and greenery. The ribbon and flowers are where you'll use the colors you've picked for your wedding. Centerpieces can be as simple as a bunch of roses in small vases. Or have taller vases with roses and mix other flowers and greenery letting some flowers cascade down the side of the vase. Use sparkly dried flowers all around, you can usually find it at Michaels or any place that sells dried or artificial flowers. If you want more ideas email me. Have fun, what a great theme!!

Default could help

I was watching a wedding show one night and they were basing the wedding theme around a starry night. They used a type of garland that was made from beads and bits of glass. They were really pretty and caught the light really nice. Something like that would be neat, kind of like little diamonds hanging. Congrats and hope things go well

Another thing you might want to think about for your theme is the ceremony music. European princesses have often had pieces commissioned for their bridal processionals when they married, instead of using the same pieces the common folk used! (You could even have a composer make one that started off with a trumpet fanfare that announces your entrance, to continue the princess theme further!)

A company I am associated with, www.weddingcompositions.com is one of several that creates original wedding music for brides to walk down the aisle to.

Good luck with your wedding planning!

Default Budget Princess wedding, is it possible?

HELP!

My wedding is on June 24, 2005. My fiance and I have just purchased our second house, which has a huge back yard, we are thinking of having the reception in our backyard, to save on some costs. We really have to budget for the wedding, this is the fourth time I put it off and I am determined to have it next June. My mom and dad are helping with my dress and some of the other costs, but I need help with everything! The only thing I have found is my dress!

We were going to do a beachy/tropical theme, but my dress is to princess like, so I am looking into my options.

I really like the ideas of a moon light reception with candlelight, or white lights all over the ceiling of the tents. But I need help, like I said we are budgeting, and all I have is my dress. Please help me, any ideas would help.

Thanks,
Red

If you feel that your dress is too dressy for a beach/tropical theme, why not consider a garden theme? It's still an outdoor theme, it just lends itself to a princess style dress.

Tiny white lights are beautiful no matter what theme you use. Plus, since your wedding isn't until June 2005, you can get them on sale at Christmas time.
