Default Having a family member make wedding cake

We are blessed in that my future mother-in-law is making our cake for us. This has helped us greatly in keeping the cost low. We are having a red velvet cake and a chocolate pound cake for the groom's cake. YUM!!

Just make sure you check with your reception site. My reception site requires that the cake be maid by a licensed baker. The state of Illinois seems to be very picky about this, as every reception site I investigated required this, even the ones not supplying the catering.
