where can i get a "cheap" wedding dress in Souther California? they're all so pricey and yet they arent very sophisticated. anyone have any ideas of where i can buy one? or any ideas as to where i can start a new search from?

Mercedes Trump's tailoring shop in Santa Barbara has many designer dresses on consignment. They are hundreds of dollars less then retail. give her a shot.

How much are you looking to spend? I have a brand new wedding gown that I had purchased for my own wedding. I loved it because it was inexpensive compared to most designer gowns, but didn't look "cheap." It is very simple and elegant. I noticed you are in Irvine, CA and so am I. I found my gown for a great deal at Casa de Novia in National City. I don't know if that's too far for you but the lady there is great. She did my alterations in no time and the dress ***e out perfect. She ordered it and had it ready for me to pick it up after only a few weeks. Her measurements were right on and she never gave me attitude when I wanted to take visiting relatives or friends by to show them what I looked like in it. I give them five stars *****!

have you tried looking at some of the online sites that you can order from? I just bought my dress from the Bridal Mart in Burlington NC, but on their website you can order and they will ship. I was very happy with my experience there and my dress which I saw other places for $900 was only $500. I tried on one Mary's dress that was only $278 to order it and I saw that one for almost $800 elsewhere. their website is www.bridalmart.com

Hey, I noticed two of you girls are from Irvine, I am from Lake Forest, Ca!! Have you tried David's Bridal in South Coast Plaza, or even the Jessica McKlintock outlet in Huntington Beach. I haven't started my search yet, but I have heard that Davids Bridal has some nice cheap dresses!
