If you have already found the bakery that you want to use, tell them what you invision. They will be able to come up with something for you.

Also, you can go to places like marthstewart.com and theknot.com and find pictures of cakes, along with local vendors.

Also, go to bridal shows in your area. Most have bakers there that offer samples. Set up appointments for cake tastings.

I hope this helps.

Red, pink, and purple snowflakes? Hmm... it seems to me that perhaps you should stick with one color (like purple) for the cake. I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, I just think that a cake would look a little over the top if it had all of those details. If that is what you really want... then I would look for pictures of cakes with snowflakes. Then show the picture to your baker and say "I want this part in red, this part in pink, and this part in purple". I seriously doubt you would actually be able to find a picture that meets those specifications exactly, you know? ;)

I think your colors will look great on a cake. Here is a picture of my wedding cake. I took it to the baker that I am going to use and he said he could do it, but will make a couple of changes to make it more personnel. Find the baker or caterer that will bake you cake for you and you will be pleasantly surprise at what they come up with.

I really like the first one pictured. I would use purple flowers in between the layers, and have the icing pink, the snowflakes white w/gliiter, and use the red flowers and white snowflakes to decorate the table. You could use any of these styles, but have the icing pink, decorate with purple beads, or flowers, and use red flowers, and white snowflakes to decorate the cake table? I think I would keep the snowflakes white with maybe some glitter!!

LOL! Well that sounds like it would look nice then. Sorry... I was envisioning pink, purple, and red snowflakes and thinking "huh?". Yes, I think purple flowers and pink icing with white snowflakes would look great.

Thanks for some of the ideas, I still need to find a baker to bake my cake. I was glad to hear so many ideas. i wasn't sureif you were supposed to have an idea before you found a baker or if you could go in without any ideas at all. Now I have some ideas so I can go and get what I want!
