I was thinking about "From this Moment" by Shania Twain or well I don't know!
I always loved this song, even though it ***e out when I was just a little kid! Don't know if my FH will go for it (He's not really the mushy type)...

Those are such pretty song lyrics, your FH sounds like mine, he doesn't like the icky mushy love stuff! How is the music, very soft? I'll have to see if I can find it on the internet and listen to it
Well we are renwing so it wont be our first dance ... But i torn between 2 songs!
When I said I do..by Clint Black and Lisa Hartman (this is totally to prefect for our renewal and kinda describes why we are renewing!)

It's from the movie Over the Top (1987). I found the song online and downloaded it... it's a slow song for sure, very soft. But I think it's a perfect 1st song. I just think the lyrics are perfect.

There are so many songs to chose from, I love that song too! Why does this have to be such a hard decision? I will just have to narrow it down to 5 songs and then go from there. All these lyrics are so pretty!

I also love Shania Twain "your still the one" as well bc no one but my parents and us believed in our marraige they didnt think we were serious about it and didnt think it would last. His mother actually told him.. it will just end in divorce like last time.

I am glad you like it... it is one of those songs that really hits home for us... that will probably be the one we do .. maybe do both or all 3 throught the night.

these are all lovely songs... for those having troubles like me .... if you want to forgo tradition.. I am thinking about walking in and out to an actual song maybe walk in to The shania twain song... and walk out to my best friend and dance to when i said i do

We're thinking of Unforgettable by Nat King Cole or Only God Could Love You More. Either way I am having both songs incorporated into the ceremony or reception. Nat King Cole is one of my all-time faves and Only God Could Love You More's lyrics fit us perfectly!

I love that song by Clint and Lisa Hartman Black! It is so sweet! I offered that one to Chris...but he said it sounds too country! Grrr! I'm thinking about "All for Love" by Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart and Sting
OH yes Nat King Cole is awesome too.
I love it Lindsay but i understand all you country haters LOL. That is a really nice song too though very beautiful!

If anyone has played the video game Katamari Damacy, it is the song with the words "I want to roll you up into my life". It has beautiful lyrics, is a waltz and fits us both perfectly. I think some of our friends will laugh when they realize where it is from! :)

I absolutely love both of these songs! I think Clint Black is so perfect for your ceremony! I want to use My Best Friend as our first song. I really like "It's your love" too.

Man I thought that I wanted the Clint Black song "When I said I Do" but you ladies keep putting all these songs on here and it is making it hard to decide which one I like the most. I love the song by Lonestar "Amazed" I thought this would be an easy decision! Things just keep piling up! Still.....................THINKING!

UGH! I am so jealous! FH hates country and all the songs that I love are country. So we've had a choice between a couple other songs. We like Arms Wide Open by Creed and Sacrafice by Creed. There's a couple others we are deciding from but I'm leaning more towards Arms Wide Open.

My FH hates country too, but for christmas I asked for the Rascal Flatts cd "feels like today" and he got it for me. I told him that all I wanted for christmas was that cd and nothing else. I made him listen to it over and over several times. I tried to get him to listen to the lyrics of "bless the broken road" for so long. When he finally sat down and really listened to it, he liked it and agreed that that was our first dance song. It was tough, but so worth the effort because that's the song that fits for both of us.

I wish I could say, but the boyfriend is writing a song for the first dance. He's going to play it with the guitar that I bought him for Christmas last year and record it a couple of weeks before the wedding. I can tell when he's in a writing mood, though - he always smiles at me and says, "honey... feel like taking the dog for a walk??"

yeah i think the alison krauss version is the original but i heard the version from the notting hill movie first so i always think of ronan keating. it doesn't really matter which version since we're having a band with a male singer!
