I have a beautiful spun glass snowflake cake topper. I want to put that on the top of a single layer cake (I'm only having 50 ish people). What I have in mind is the very smooth white icing and a cascade of small frosting snowflakes across the cake. If these could sparkle, so much the better. I don't want big old snowflakes stuck to the sides of the cake and that seems to be all I can find. I have my baker picked out...I would just love to have a picture of what I have in mind so we are all on the same page. Has anyone seen anything like that?

they have special sugar to put on the fondant icing that will make it sparkle. It can be placed on the cake where it 'looks' like snowflakes, but it's actually on the cake, so it won't be hanging. I'll see if I can find a pic & post for you.

I like this one. It's more than one layer but you could always modify it to what you're looking for.

You can use luster dust.. i dont know what you colors are but the silver and gold is awesome bc it is like they put like metallic paint on it. It is beautiful!
