To tell you the truth, me and kris talked about that.... We were looking at going to jamacia, the carribean sandals resort for the honeymoon and we are serious thinking about just doing the wedding thing there too.....But Kris said that my family wouldnt let that happen... So we will see... It will be so much more affordable.... and It would be so nice there... So who knows....
I think you should go for it.... It is so beautiful down there.

We are actually planning on getting married this June at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica. As far as I can tell, with the endless searching and emailing, it sounds pretty good. I love the fact that its all taken care of for you and you don't have to make any decisions until you get there. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask. I've talked to the planner there a blue million times, so I'm just about stress free. Just about!

We actually put the deposit down on out trip to St Lucia in February. I would love to hear how things went when you get back. I also would like to see what it looks like. As you know the brochures are incredible looking... but does it really look liek that. If you don't mind I would love to see any pictures you could share. We were going to go to Royal Carribean but ended up at the Regency. Are you guys doing the wedding photography package with them?

We will be in transit to Jamaica this time next week! We are doing the photography package, but the lowest priced one. We were going to have it filmed, but then the price jumped $200 on us. We are having a full church ceremony when we get back so the pictures and video wasn't as big of a deal. I think we still get close to twenty pictures and I am hoping to find a nice guest while I'm there to use our ***corder to film the wedding. I've heard by friends that you meet a lot of couples and its common to invite them to your wedding. I'll let you know how things go!

My Husbands buddy and wife got married there May 4, 2004 and part of there familt actually ***e with them. They went like the week the wedding set everyhthing up and stayed the nest week for the honeymmon. I have seen their pictures and they are wonderful. Just remember it is really hot down there. Their wedding was in the evening and still poor Charlie had sweat stains on his shirt. Just remember that when you go to dress. She had her wedding gown and everything. SHe said it was awesome and the people were amazing and was really stress free.

Well we're back. I feel I must be honest with everything. Had I not already an additional wedding back home next week, my wedding at Sandals would have done me in. First of all, if you aren't paying for any of the extras and think that you'll the free wedding after 7 night stays, don't expect much! First off your choice of flowers were carnations or daisies. Anything else was at least 60 dollars more. You cake was two tiers, the top only real that was maybe 6 inches in width two inches height, mine was smashed on one corner. You don't meet with the wedding coordinator until the day before and they really (personal experience) seemed to be put off by any questions. I loved my ceremony because of its meaning, i will say that. We participated in a sand ceremony at the wedding (on wednesday) we had to go today after many many inquieries to get our sand not sure if its even what we had in the actual ceremony. Our candle light dinner at the same restaurant as everyone else, we just had a different table cloth. And the T shirt we had to ask for today. When we went to select our pictures the lady acted put off that we got the smallest package, but ph otos were great. Good photographer. Don't get me wrong. If you want to invest the money you can have an awesome wedding, but don't bet on a specatular event with the free 7 night stay deal. Any questions feel free to ask.

wow. Which location was this? We decided today to go to Ochos Rios in Jamaica. I'm glad to get some feedback because we are going with the free wedding and I was going to see if I could upgrade the decorations, cake and get a good picture package. We were also going to do the 75 bucks a person for the reception.

We went to Ochos Rios on our way to the Dunn's River Falls (a definite must do-take water shoes). The resort is very nice. You'll have about a two hour drive to it from the airport. As far as I can remember the upgrade for bouquet was about $100, decorations begin at $150, I don't remember the cake. You might also want to take along an extra $150 for a private candlelight dinner. If we would have known it wasn't included we would have brought extra to do it. But definitely upgrade. Oh and a side note, we took two things of bug spray and ended up having to buy a third there at the gift shop. Mosquitos are bad. Feel free to email with any other questions. summernicole@charter.net

I am new here, just reading about Sandal's packages,.. sometimes free things given comes with substandard service quality even low product quality. Have to be careful of getting free stuffs.

Caveat Emptor

I think the good point here, you got married!! congratulation!

While we didn't get married at the Sandals Regency St Lucia we did see a few people getting married there. If you go to St Lucia we heard the Regency was the best by others from other resorts moving over but we weren't sure how. Make sure you know what kind of room you are getting or you may be disappointed at the Regency. The Honeymoon Suites listed under #8 on their map are awful. The people are wonderful for the most part and very nice!!! And the tours are great but expect to spend money if you want to see the area as they aren't cheap. It is our understanding that the Antigua location is Sandals best one... if we were to go back we would go there. If going to St Lucia the best restaurants by far are Le Pitons and the italian place. I don't want to bash the place or anything, the people were great but the room was higly disappointing and upseting for the cost.

We are heading to the Sandals Regency for our wedding On February 17. Any advice or input you have would be much appreciated. What to see, what not to see... Thanks!

All the best on your day!

We have been to Sandals in St Lucia a few years back, plus a couple since then. The two of us decided not to have our wedding there because we saw several weddings at the Antigua, St Lucia, Jamaica and Bahamas ones we went on vacation to. They seemed very imperson impersonable. There was a sign down at the breakfast each morning with a list of people getting married why don't you stop by. Something like that. It was just too many people like a marriage factory. Sorry vain here to want the sharing on my special day with several other people. At the Jamaica one Dunns River they left up the flower arch on the beach several days with almost hourly weddings.

We love adult only places so when confronted with this for our wedding our DW Specialist (she likes to call herself that rather then travel agent/wedding planner) turned us on to the Secrets Capri resort in Rivera Mayan Mexico. Could not believe what we are getting, 24 hour room service, minibar, ala carte dining for all meals, this was for all of our guests. At Sandals they always tried to upgrade you with a hard sell when you get there with comments do you want room service or mini bar. Now I have all of my guests getting the same thing. What a great find.

I sound like a downer. Just giving you some feedback with our Sandals experience.

At the Regency there are only 3 weddings a day... hopefully we can select a secluded garden area for the ceremony. We are having our family down there anyways... like 8 other people... so it will be nice... just a little change from the ordinary... no flower arch or anything... it's not needed
