We have an neat idea for our wedding cake but I'm having trouble finding pictures to show our baker when that time comes.

Basically, it will be three stack buttercream tiers with maybe some embellishment on the edges (we hate fondant) But, in keeping with our "theme" we want the tier to read from the bottom up, just like this

...Only Time
as your heart chose?
Who can say if your love grows

THe only problem is that alot of cake decorators use this really cheap looking , squiggly writing (the kind used on birthday cakes) and we want something done with an extremely fine tip so it looks elegant.

It will either be an iory cake with pink writing and embellishments or vice versa.... then a small porcelain clock as a topper.

This is the only one I could find but I want to see more! Has anyone come across any? I'm not looking for those "overwritten" cakes that are covered from top to bottom in writing... just that phrase.

Help?

Do you know who your cake decorator is going to be yet? I only ask because at the bakery I work at, our cake decorator keeps pictures of all kinds of cakes she is really proud of. If you ask your decorator what different kinds of writing they can do, they might have pics to show you, or maybe just whip out a piece of cardboard and show you right there! Sorry I'm no help when it comes to pictures!:)

We're using our same baker from our wedding (our cake was one of the very few things about our wedding that actually turned out right!) I love their cakes and they do absolutely gorgeous works for 1.25 per serving! Heck, we were in there picking out our wedding cake the first time and the owner (really, really nice guy, btw) kept having to leave and check on cakes that were in the oven.

We wren't mad in the least bit but he felt bad and ended up giving us our filling for free!

The only problem is that theire lettering is like of fat and squiggly looking. I've never seen any of their wedding cakes with lettering, but I've seen their lettering on other things. I'm trying to find SOMETHING to show him! We've got hundreds of cakes stored in our computer but we are looking for more with the lettering so we could show him what we want exactly.

Here is their cake gallery: http://www.weddingwonderlandcakes.com/gallery.shtml

I'm not sure if this will work, but below is an image from cake bakery where I live. It has wording all the way around it, but I've seen them do ones with just a few centered words on each tier, like what you want. Don't be afraid to draw out a picture of what you are thinking - hopefully that will help the decorator.

I like the pale pink with ivory letters. I think that the words will stand out more that way, and it's more unique.
