What about this cake? It's lavender and it has a fountain. The fountian isn't on top, but I think its pretty cool. ;)

Well if that's what you want... then why not tell your cake person that that is what you want only you want the flowers to be lavender?

i just wanted to compare it with others that are similar, don't want to settle, ya know, but if i do decide on this one, has anyone seen these toppers, like where the heck can i find the little doves, i was thinking maybe butterflies instead, what do you guys think

Either doves or butterflies would be great. Whatever you think fits in with your wedding better. I have no clue where you can find the doves... but you can get fountain cake tops on e-bay.

hey cashy, i'm totally bummed, i talked to my cake lady yesterday and she said it would be a really bad idea to have a fountain on top of the cake, she said it splashes out everywhere and would ruin the cake, i'm so bummed, so now i'm on the search for a new, JUSt LAVENDER cake, whoa is me

Well that stinks. You don't like the idea of a fountain underneath the cake like the original cake I posted? I wonder how much the fountain would really splash... I mean, if the water isn't falling that far then it wouldn't splash really.

I have a fountain water dish thingy for my cat (don't ask) and although the water doesn't drip, it just runs down the front, it does get the floor wet enough that I have a towel under it 24/7. I believe it would ruin the cake. Plus, wouldn't it be kinda heavy for a cake topper? I love the fountains with the cakes, but I think it's probably better to put it underneath the cake.

well, ladies, i have decided to go with cashy's idea of the traditional cake with the fountain underneath, i found a cake that i liked, but i'm gonna make the frosting lavender with the hearts and trim white, and i had the best luck, i got an AC MOORE coupon and found a really neat swirly white porcelin heart for a topper it was on sale and then i got 40% of YEAH, the cheaper the better at this stage, lol thanks for all of your awsome help

Oo I can totally picture this as a purple cake. I hope you'll post the final product :-). Very nice and elegant cake. The fountain is cool looking under the cake.

The cake below with the fountain on top is absolutely exquisite! I LOVE it. Now...does anyone have a clue where to find that type of fountain and the small doves? I have looked online, I have searched ebay. I just contacted my cake decorator and she may or may not have some ideas. But if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks! :-)

You know what? I think that fountian is this one:

And I think that the tier with the floral pattern directly beneath it is a fake. The probably constructed it out of cardboard or foam and covered it with fondant. Either than or it is plastic/resin. It serves to hide the base of the fountain (the part where the motor is) and blends it in with the rest of the cake. I found the fountains for sale at Wilton's website: http://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?id=3E314555-475A-BAC0-5BF82ABC3D7BB726&fid=3E330F18-475A-BAC0-59DAFD6324AAC319
I would talk to your cake person about making a false tier to hide the base of the fountain.

This site has ones with different animals. They have birds near the bottom of the site.

Here is one of a dove

This site has castles and birds combined. I think they would look pretty on top of a fountain.

And one more
This one has like 4 pages of bird cake toppers
