And in the same colors, just about! I'm doing red and white!! And my church has light blue carpet. Definitely let me know if you find ideas.
Look at these. I love the idea and want to use this somehow in the church...

What about checking into an arch, with flowers that are similar to the one's that you are using. Then sting some white christmas lights through it. It should help to bring everything centered back to you and your FH. Then if you aren't taking alot of pictures at the church then you could have someone rush it to the reception site and have it at the doors for when you and FH walk in. If not you could always use it later as a part of the landscaping for your house.

It must be popular because another church that I visited had blue carpet too.
Have you thought of using an arch/trellis like firebride said? I don't want it to be too garden-y, you know?!

How about using pillars, tulle and white mini lights. You can wrap the pillars and drape the tulle with the lights inside. Simple and inexpensive. For flowers, you might want to consider purchasing some silk one's, garland. They'll be so far away from your guests that they'd probably never know they weren't real.

Here is a picture of the church if that would help.

I would drap tulle and maybe Christmas lights from the side boards and back boarding (in front of the choir area). If you aren't having a choir (probably not) you could line that area with some decorative flowers or candles.

Here's my opinion:
I would rent 4 columns/pillars place two of the on the top step just in from of the two chairs on both sides and then place the other to on the step under that but a little further apart than the two on the top step. so that it makes this shape (birds eye view) (hopefully you get my point):

get some white christmas lights and wrap all 4 columns/pillars and then
get some tulle, one of your wedding colors-and wrap the colums/pillars with it laying it over the white lights so that the light shows thru the tulle and you won't see the chord. Then I would get a very nice vase (white) and have a large alter peice/flower arrangement and sit it on the ledge in front of the choir area right in the middle of the 4 columns/pillars. Also I would get some floral foam and make little arrangements to place on top of the 4 column/pillars.
Best of wishes

The chairs, pulpit, etc won't be there during the ceremony. :)
