I am going to go get my dress in about 15 minutes...but I don't think it will fit in my closet! The bar in my closet is too low..so it will probably make my dress drag. Ugh! Do your dresses fit in your closet..and if no, what did you do??

Mine is going to FMIL's house. What about getting one of those over the door hooks and hang it behind one of your doors?

Tyler and I have a huge walk in closet with hooks on the wall. I hung mine on one of the hooks. It touches the floor a little bit, but it's in a dress bag so I don't mind too much. It's kind of in the way, but it's the only place I could hang it!!!

I just tried that..only problem is that the door to my spare room is directly across from the bathroom. She said to keep the dress away from moisture since it is in one of those dress bags. Maybe when I move it will be better...my spare room in my new apartment is way on the other side of it. Thanks for the advice. :)

I think I am going to go hang mine back in my closet. We have a walk in closet too..but the rod isn't quite high enough so the dress does sit on the floor. It's completely inside the bag though..I actually bought 2..so it was "ultra-protected." LOL.

Haha too funny! Yeah, my dress only touches the floor a little bit. Only about 4 inches or so I would say. Nothing that I am overly concerned about.

Mine's about the same. I asked the lady at the dress shop about it and she said it's not a big deal. They are just going to press it once you're ready to wear it anyways. I am just a worry wart!

I have mine hanging on a hook on my closet door. I usually keep the door open, since the closet is in a corner & the door doesn't get in the way. It does drag a little bit, but I think once it's steamed it'll be fine.

I have mine laying down on the spare bed at my parents house. The lady said it could be bad to hang it because my dress weighs so much and the straps to hang it from could cause damage to the bodice.

I'm so relieved. I plan on buying my dress maybe Monday. I know it will probably take a few months to come in. BUT my wedding is still 20 months away. I had NO idea where I was going to store my dress. I just found out from my best friend that the Bridal shop that I'm going to prefers to hold the dress until just before your wedding. I didn't think they would, because I had to pick up my BM dress for my friends wedding 4 months ago. She said they don't hold other dresses, but they prefer to hold the brides dress. One less thing I have to worry about!!

I will probably lay mine down at my moms house somewhere. I don't want to run the risk of Tyson seeing it.

Mine is in the closet in our bedroom-at the very back. It's hanging up, but you have to work pretty hard to get to it. I put it in there so that my cats wouldn't do anything to it. It's in one of those white dress bags too.

Laurie,
Your dress is beautiful. I wanted something like that for mine but when I went to try the dress on it looked horrible on me. I am only 5' 2" and it made me look shorter and fatter. :)

Laurie, your dress looks stunning! I love it on you! Did you have that "this is the one" feeling when you put it on? I'm still waiting for that feeling to happen when I go looking....
