I'd like to see some ideas for decorating the aisle. I'm getting married in a church, so it would be pews.

Thanks all!

I am making some pew bows and I just bought some silver garland with lights that I may drape the front rows in so it lights up the aisle.

I made pew cones and am using tulle to drape on every other pew. There are a few pics in my journal. I just used xmas box thick cardboard, a stapler, a glue stick, some foil tissue paper/xmas wrap paper, and a little **** and tulle. If you like them I would be glad to tell you how I did it. It takes five minutes per and maybe $3 per cone after your done.

These are the finished version, I also had red and silver but ended up changing my colors....

I am also using real flowers, but wanted to see what it would look like with one in there.

At my son's wedding they ran tulle all the way down the center aisle and had white mini lights inside. They also decorated the alter with the tulle and lights. They dimmed most of the lights in the church and covered all the windows so even for a 2 PM wedding it was really pretty. We did a lot of that for the reception also, it was an extremely large hall and very cold looking but we wrapped all the pillars with the tulle and lights and strung lights above all the tables to form a fake ceiling. It was a lot of work but very pretty. This is a good time to buy mini lights!

I had to look up the definition of pew bows... a bit on the dumb side when it comes to wedding talk... But I found this picture.. with directions on how to make them...

You can make them or they have some really nice ones on ebay or at Hobby Lobby or any craft store.
