I think that if you took some fun fall leaves and put them in arrangements with flowers that are fall colors that it would look beautiful. Or you could use leaves like confetti on your tables at your reception. And the big thing now that I have found is candles lots and lots of candles all over. Back to the leaves again you could buy plastic ones and fill pretty bowls with water and put the leaves along with floating candles in them. If you don't like leaves I'm sorry I have been no help.
Good luck

You should check out wedding.orders.com you can order free magazines or shop online and request free samples for invitations, accessories etc. I just saw some beautiful fall wedding invitations on there. Just go to shop invitations online and then go to refine search and click seasonal,I dont know if you already have invitations or not but you can choose to just search your colors too. Hope this helps.

I don't know how far you want to go with the fall theme, but...you could use pumpkins in really nice ways that won't look halloween-y. I think I saw it on MarthaStewart.com, but she made pumpkin lanterns by cutting out a lace pattern in the pumpkin so that a lace design glowed through. Or use pumpkins as flower holders, fill minature pumpkins with champagne and crimson flowers. Or buy champagne colored lace and wrap around the outside of glass candle holders to let candles glow through the lace (martha again I think). The votive candles could be red.
As centerpieces you could have glass bowls with floating flowers or candles - red gerber daisys are beautiful and in season...red gerber daisies and champagne floating candles would be lovely.

My wedding is also Oct. 23! I can't wait, only 6 months away.
I am having a country harvest wedding! I grew up on a farm, and I am a true country girl. No cowboy boots and western things not that kind of harvest, but a nice elegant harvest wedding. My girls will be in brown and have brilliantly colores flowers. The hall will be have a harvest flavor with pumpkins and fall colors. For table gifts we are having sets of ceramic coasters with different leaf patterns on them unique and amazingly inexpensive. Also guests will pick up different flavored oils as they walk into the hall with tags to inform them of their table numbers and such.

Some other Ideas I had were maybe candy corn and or little packages of pumpkin seeds. as snacks for the speaches.

I hope some of my ideas inspired you and your writers block will soon pass 6 months isn't a long time but it is still quite aways away. you still have lots of time. Don't rush you self you only get to do this once Enjoy it!
Good luck and all the best to you!

I am also having an Oct wedding on the 29 of next year, my theme is understated fall theme, pumpkin centerpieces that have the table numbers carved in them, not all the way through just enough so the numbers glow, lit with battery powered white christmas lights... white chocholate leaves are the favor which can be made from a recent Martha stewart seasonal ideas magazine. Dark red table clothes with burnt orange runners. Hope that helps!

Hi!
My wedding is October 23, 2004!!!! My mother died five years ago from cancer and she was my best friend. October 23 was her birthday. Your colors are great!! There is so much out there in crimson. I am using leaves like another bride suggested, because I LOVE fall!! What time are you getting married? Is it small or large? Are you a frilly, lacey girl or more reserved and classical? Do you want a fall theme or something else? I am very artistic and am doing my own flower arrangements, centerpieces and decorations. I love colors and "designing" ideas! I'll be glad to give you more ideas, if you'll let me know more about what type of person you are. Congrats!!

My soon-to-be- Mother InLaw was at a "fall themed" wedding last year. What they did was buy the little tiny pumpkins or squash or something to that nature, and they tied (with raffia) the table number and a thank you. It also was there gift to everyone for attending. I thought that would be the least expensive if you wanted something quick and cheap. But you have plenty of time and plenty of help here.

Miniature pumkins and gourds grouped together make an attractive ceterpiece on their own, or can be combined with a floral or candle arrangement.

My sister does this each year at Thanksgiving. She changes things a little each year, but it's always beautiful. One year she spray painted some of the pumkins and gourds with gold paint. WOW! Depending on what works best with your other colors, you could also choose silver or bronze.

I Am Getting Married October 1,2004. Instead Of Going With The Traditional Wedding Themes, I Decided That Since It Was Football Season And Hunting Season, We Would Incorporate Those Two Pass Times Into The Wedding. My Colors Are Purple And Yellow (geaux Lsu!!!). Alot Of My Decorations Are Themed Around Lsu Football. Now, For The Groom, He Has His Own Backdrop With The Cattails, And Deer Blinds And His Cake Will Be Decorated With A Hunters, And 4-wheelers And Deer Since He Is A Hunter. Everyone Thought I Was Crazy For Having Two Different Themes For The Wedding, But When You Really Thing About It, You Don't Want Your Wedding Day To Be Like Anyone Else's. :)
