Okay so I was trying to find BM dresses just for kicks last night. I wanted to go on a hunt for something that would match an amber/fall colored wedding. I found a few colors I liked but nothing interesting. I had to find something that would flatter 3 completely different body types.. and this is what I ***e up with.. a two piece.. the same top for everyone in a fall brown color.. and then the same skirts in different autumn colors for each girl. Does this look alright? Does anyone have any better suggestions?

I've never seen it the way you are describing, but i have seen it where the bridesmaids are each in a different color...and the colors you picked do look very nice together, but i'm not sure about the different color tops and bottoms.
I know its tough to find one dress that looks good on all body types, but if you are planning to have them all in different colors, why don't you let them each pick a top that they will be comfortable in? just give them guidlines like it has to be sleeveless...for the most part, people usually look best in what they are comfortable in.

I think a 2piece is nice, but I'm thinking a top that is the same color as the skirt. But then it's harder to imagine one in them versus just seeing them posted as they are.:) If you're going to have your girls try them on first to see how they look, take pics. When you do... have them try them on w/similar top and skirt and then the way you want....just to give you a visual of how you want them to look. :)

Have you tried looking at the web site www.therosedress.com
that is where I got mt bridesmaid dresses, and with shipping it totaled $77per dress.
They are in Cali and you should contact them every week after the first 2 weeks just to keep on top of things, I am very anal about these things and I need to know always whats going on.
All of the dresses ***e in within 2 to 5 weeks and they look great on the girls and their size charts are given on a per dress basis so you can find a complimentary dress that will fit all. I have 4 BM and 2MOH all different body types not one of them is the same LOL so I was going crazy, but then i found the perfect dress. My BM are in baby blue, 1 MOH is in Oceanblue with an Ivory shawl and the 2nd MOH is in Ivory with an ocean blue shawl. (My 2 MOH are my 2 sisters, and they look great in the dress)
Here is a picture of it
they also offer a long version of this dress

It is a great site at least i thought so
but I did have 6 months for my girls to get their dresses in so I wasn't worried when there was a delay of 3 weeks on 2 dresses
ALSO
they offer wedding dresses at decent prices and they are pretty but i got mine from a manufacturere that is on ebay
The index # to the BM dress I think PO2466 or something LOL
Is you go to the homepage then click on the dress tab on the top then scroll all the way to the bottom to index of dresses and you can look up the dress by the index # to get a better look

I like the separates...it is what I used. Don't know that I would do different colors on top and bottom. However, try it in person and see how it looks. I am not sure what it would actually look like in real life.
I did the separates and had them all in the same color and same skirt and then each girl got to pick her own top and it looked really cool.

My FSIL did something like your doing when she got married in 2004. She picked out her colors Pink and White and the girls all wore separates. Different tops and bottoms no two girls looked the same. It ***e out really nice too. If I can find a picture of them I'll post it for you.
It's all basically what you want and like. I have all my girls wearing the same dress (except MOH) in different colors.
