My FH and I live in southeast Georgia. We're buying a home, and I'm paying for the wedding with only some help from my parents. I need some ideas for a honeymoon that will cost us no more than $500. I don't know what to do. Please help!!

You could go camping, get a bed and breakfast in a near by town for a while and visit some attractions there, or you could get a cabin or something like that. There are a lot of options to do rather than going some where exotic (I've talked about it enough on here).

Check out Pigeon Forge, TN. They have a lot of options available, and a lot of times they will discount if you are a honeymooner.

Check around at some of the resorts that got hit by hurricanes this year...It sounds like everything is well on its way to being rebuilt...Their prices could be way discounted because not everything is up and running yet, but they still need the business to keep them going.
Do you know anyone who has a timeshare? Maybe they could let you use it as a wedding present.

look into a cruise for 3 days, and drive to the port?
find a decent hotel room and make it a honeymoon get away

In fact, I was telling my mom that FH and I are looking into going to the mountains and she said "Well if y'all are gonna do that...." and proceeded to tell me that we could use her and my step-dad's timeshare!! I'm so excited! There are lots of places to choose from too. I can't decide on a cabin in the mountains or the beach.
