Ideas for Moulin Rouge Theme

Hello all!

I am new to this forum. I have been searching all the past posts and found you all have wonderful ideas.

I was wondering if you could help me with some ideas for my wedding and reception. We are planning a Moulin Rouge theme wedding and reception. Our colors are deep red/burgundy, black and gold. The wedding will probably be August 26th. Not totally sure.

Any help and pictures would be great! Thanks!

hmm this is a good one! u could have dancing girls in cool costumes... champange... and have a parisian atmosphere... actually you could use the champegne bottles as centerpieces...

I registered on this board.

We are planning on having the casino atmosphere too. We have a couple poker tables in the family, so we will set those up. We are having our pictures taken before dressed up in that stlye of clothes, corsets, feathers, etc and have them put on poker cards.

This is a really fun theme. U could do allot of fun things with it. May be have your guest participate with the them. u could have them all dress up in your colors, or dress in the Moulin rouge gear or have all the all the woman guest come with a feather shall. Your guest may enjoy being part of the theme. I know this is not the same, but I had gone to a bridal shower and the brides theme was wine. All the guest had to bring a bottle of wine of there choose to the bridal shower. Her bridal party gave her a wine rack and by the end of her show her wine rack was full. We all had fun being part of the activity.

Thank you so much for all your ideas. I love the wine idea!! I absolutely love wine! I coach a High School dance team and they are all dressing up in the Moulin Rouge theme and doing a performance. I am going to try and get as many people as possible to dress up. I don't want to make it a requirement, but I think people will get into it.
