Ok I thought I would try here because I am going crazy! I want three colors for my wedding (which is 09/04/04). My dress is Cream (Ecru or Ivory; whichever :-p) My first choice was orange (my favorite color) but after looking around, there really arent many favor ideas in orange, not many decorations in orange, etc etc etc... Then I thought about Peach. BUT...That is THE ONLY pastel I like. I know I could make orange deco's but the budget is VERY VERY limited. I don't have any family whatsoever (foster care all of my life) and I live in a Mayberry like town which thinks minimum wage is an EXCELLENT wage (LoL) with only part time hours. So budget is extremely important here. So anywho, any and all suggestions would be very very very helpful!! I greatly appreciate you reading my rambling on and on!! :-)

There are plenty of orange decorations out there. You are getting married in September right??? Go with fall colors (orange leaves)

Good Luck

My wedding is also 9-4-04, my color is pink. I think you can still go with summer colors for September. Fall is not until the 22nd. As far as orange goes, I would go with a coral color. I picture orange as an October wedding. Hope this is helpful.

I'm getting married 9/24/05 and I'm using blue hydrangeas and I found that 'mango' colored roses and cream roses look really nice together. I let my bridesmaids suggest colors that they liked, and they said they wanted to wear 'mango', a little stronger than peach, but not quite orange. So, hydrangea blue, mango and cream is one suggestion. Also, if you're not afraid of bright colors, hot pink and bright orange are fabulous together, and would look great in a sunny, outdoor setting. Or, as one person mentioned, you could go with the fall colors theme.

Wow, I am facing a very similar challenge for my 08/28/04 outdoor wedding. I have my heart set on burnt-orange calla lilies for my bouquet but I have access to a lot of free baby blue hydrangeas and am very hesitant about the colour combo. I want to use burnt orange as an accent colour but am having difficulty tying in the groomsmen w/BMs. I agree with the previous suggestion of orange & pink and it is very "in" right now (my FG has a very strong aversion to pink). Also orange and green (lime, hunter or moss - depending on shade of orange) are good combos. Orange/pink/green make a nice trio. I had an overwhelmingly great response to my choice of orange so follow your heart and go with the colours you love in spite of season as anything goes right now. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Also a Sept.4th wedding! Ask your florist which flowers will be in bloom at the time in your area. Sometimes if they are out of season well ya know... I was looking at ivory with lilacs but in Sept. I'd have to order them special so I have slightly changed to lavender which has grown on me. Hope this helps.

My wedding is also in September and is an outdoor wedding. My bridesmaids are wearing a pale yellow colour and my colours are orange, red and a pale yellow. I don't know what kind of flowers I will use but I know one will be a Gerber Daisy. I have to meet with a florist soon.

My wedding is 8/28/04 and I am using periwinkle blue for my bridesmaid dresses and blue and purple hydrangeas and pink lillies for my flowers. Just go with whatever you like - it's your day!!!

I think orange in September would be beautiful. Orange and cream at that. You could use real leaves as decoration. Easy and cheap! Day lilys or gerber daisy both come in orange. You could get different leaf shaped cookie cutters and make cookies for favors. Just a few thoughts. Good luck.

My wedding was in August and I used Sage, Cream and a light Rose color. I found that sage ribbon was easy to find and I used it for a lot of stuff. I had cala lillies (cream) and small rose colored fillers. My bridesmaids dresses were sage but celadon is also a nice color green. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and we got a million compliments. Hope this helps good luck!

My garden wedding is June 5, 1004 (29 DAYS!!) and my color scheme is hot pink and bright orange with yellow as the accent color. It was indeed challenging to meet my color scheme along the way, except for the bridesmaid's dresses ... my colors were HOT with the dress designers this year and we had lots of alternatives. We ended up with irridescent mango colored gowns with hot pink linings. The other vendors have yet to catch up to trends, though, and I found that the do-it-yourself approach was best. I printed my own invitations and wrapped them in pink and orange ribbons. I got my favors and decorations on eBay from gals who were tickled to custom make my things in my colors. We are using gerber daisies and tropical colored roses to carry the colors through. Check out our website at http://www.JasonandKristina.com. GOOD LUCK!! :D

Actually, I'm surprised they had wedding dress vendors 1000 years ago! I would have thought the castle seamstresses would have had to custom-make one for you! :p Since you're so old, you must have lots of valuable experience to share with us younguns!

I'm just teasing you...good luck and congratulations!

I recenlty went to a wedding where the bride had a 3 ct saphire ring- her bridesmaids wore saphire blue and carried orange and yellow tulips tied with a saphire blue bow. It was beatiful. Hope this helps!
