chiefsgirl thank you very much for that beautiful comment! as soon as I get my alterations done I promise to post pics. I'm so happy because my wedding is on January 29th and I just got the dress of my dreams. Its very princessish(sp?) LoL The pic on the website looks crappy but when I tried it on it was soooo beautiful. I was so worried because we are almost at the middle of December and I didn't have a dress. I was so busy with school that I didn't have time (college). But please need more opinions. Too much for a 20 year old (I'm a modest type). Is it too old stylish?

I think it's absolutely breathtaking. I love the heart shaped back w/the pearls hanging down! :)

This is mine: http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2019&prodgroup=91 As soon as I saw it on the site I had to try it on. Once I did I knew it was the one. :) Thankfully I don't have to have mine altered. :)

Not going to be brutal....but.......it puts me in the mind of something from the late '80's early 90's. My prom dress from 1993 looked a little like it without the train. Sorry!!!! :(

My aunt had a dress very similar to that, she looked very pretty in it. Personally for me, it's too much but I bet you look gorgeous in it.

Thank you very for the comments (bad and good). I agree that its an old fashioned type of dress that's the reason for alterations. I'm adding bell sleeves and a Queen Anne neck to look like a princess and be more modern. The reason for sleeves is because I'm muslim and I have to be covered. I love the reason that its too much because 350 ( traditional muslim wedding amount) are attending and I want to be center of attention. :D Like any other would be right?

It is not really my kind of style, but it makes sense based on what you have posted about what you needed to find in a dress for religious reasons. Please let us see what it looks like with the altered sleeves and on you.

Absoultely kg4eoh! As soon as I get pics and everything is done I will. I will also post up my henna dress which is another tradional muslim dress. Instead of having one day full of excitement I have two. Two Parties!!! The henna is held a day before the wedding.

Very pretty! Here is a pic of my dress. It is a Maggie Sottero and is discontinued , but I found a sample at a bridal salon for only $400! :D

That dress from David's is beuatiful. It reminds me of my sis in law's dress. It's got the cap sleves, but the back looks a lot the same. Beautiful!!
