I just got a great job offer I had to take with a brand new company. The problem is I only get the Friday off before my wedding. (We're getting married on a Sat.) I won't get paid vacation until after 1 year employment. I was really looking forward to the traditional honeymoon week after the wedding. Will this be as big of a deal for the rest of my life?

Have you asked the company about the possibility of taking the time off without pay? I started working for a company at the time I started planning my wedding and was conserned about taking the time off. I approached my boss and asked if there would be a chance I could take a specified time off for my wedding and honeymoon, he said that would be fine I just would not get paid for it. Try to ask many companies allow you to take vacations that we previously scheduled with your last employer if you ask.
