I'm getting married October 14, 2006 in New Hampshire, so of course the foliage is going to be beautiful. My theme is going to be fall leaves rather than anything Halloween or any pumpkins. Is anybody else getting married in the fall, and if so, what are some unique ideas that you have for centerpieces, favors, other decorations, etc? I have a pretty good idea of eveything that I want to do, but since it's so far away, I may find some other ideas that I like even better. I'm trying to do a lot of stuff with fall leaves, I just ordered a garter with leaves on them too, it's so cute!

Any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks!

I'm getting married next fall too. We're just doing fall colors and jewel tones and as for centerpieces, we're using leaves and branches and things like that to make it look a little more like fallish. Sorry I can't be more specific but we're not that far into the planning process.
By the way, thats a really cute garter. Do you mind if I ask where you got it?

I bought it off of ebay! They have a whole lot of different ones, but the one that I bought is from 2 ladies who make different wedding accessories and have a bussiness doing that. Here is the link to that one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Fall-Autumn-WEDDING-GARTER-Set-Leaves-Burgundy-Gold-PLU_W0QQitemZ8214908855QQcategoryZ15718QQssPageNam eZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
If you go to ebay and just type in "fall garter" it brings up a bunch of them. The one I got, you could choose the color of the garter you wanted. I chose white to match my dress. I haven't received it yet, hopefully I will today.

I am also having a fall wedding and love the fall color leaves. I went out and bought a whole bunch of leaves from Michaels at 70% off and I have cut them all off and I am going to put them on each table around some sort of candle center piece. This is the best time to buy everything because it is all on sale.

I also found a unity candle with fall leaves on it. I found it in the Marilyn's keepsake catalog. It's very cute and when I saw it I was so excited about it!
I'm very excited about my place cards too!! I'm going to use the sizzix die cuts to cut out oak and maple leaves in different fall colored cardstock and put the names and tables on them and put them on a little tree. The tables will be named rather than numbered. The names will be different trees like Oak, Maple and so on. I am going to go all out with this fall theme, it's just so much fun!!
The fall theme is THE BEST!! Hehe...I love it. There is SO much cute stuff that I've found that works with the theme. The candles I found are also from the Marilyn's Keepsakes catalog. I think I'm definitely going to order them. I'm a scrapbooker but I don't have a sizzix machine yet-but it may be worth it to buy it for this reason-cuz I planned on doing some tags like that too. You can see the tags in my journal, but like I said in there-I think I can do it myself and it will be a little more what I want.

I just recently got into scrapbooking, but my FMIL is a stampin' up maniac!! She has everything you can think of so I am borrowing her sizzix machine and just buying the leaf cut outs myself. I'm reading your journal right now and having much fun doing it!! I love reading about someone else who has the same theme as me!! We have a lot of the same ideas!! That cake is one of the ones that I chose too!!

No, I don't have a journal. I'm kinda new to this board, so I haven't had time to put one together yet. Maybe I will soon.

Wow, that is a great idea. I had a similar idea. I was going to name the tables by each kind of leaf: Maple leaf, Sugar Oak, etc. I was thinking of putting the leaf on each card setting.

Alexandra,
I absolutely love the flower pics that you posted. I was really wanting to use red and pink for my Fall wedding, but wasn't able to come up with a way for them to go together. They look great in that bouquet along with the other colors! Thanks for posting them. I also love the cakes!

Aww thanks hun! I'm adding some pictures to my journal tonight! I have TONS of fall decorations for the wedding packed up in totes in my closet, so I have to take pictures of some new stuff we got.
My dress is beautiful I love it!!! It's hanging in my closet and I always want to put it on..hehe....

The flowergirl dresses are hard for me to decide too. I mean, it is the same dress, one is just solid and the other has white. They are so cute, but I'm not sure which one I want!!

What are the bridesmaids wearing? If you already posted it, sorry that I missed it. It is hard to keep everyone's journals straight sometimes.

No, I didn't post it yet, because I don't know what they are!! I know the color will be burgundy/wine, but as for the style, I am letting my sister (MOH) pick hers out. So maybe the one with white would look better so it doesn't make it look so bland?
