Alright, I'm getting married at Disney. I've never been so I'm trying to figure out where I want to do my casual/elegant rehearsal dinner at Disney. Any ideas? Also, what hotel on Disney do you think is the best? We want something modern without the bright colors in the room. The bright colors aren't relaxing for a wedding night (if you know what I mean).

I went so many years ago that I probably can't help you out a whole lot... but when I did go, I loved the castle (Sleeping Beauty's or Cinderella's?). We went inside and ate dinner there that night.

Thanks, but that's where we're having the wedding. It really is an elegant place!

Hey im in the disney area, YOu want to stay at the Beach and Yacht club. So nice and romantic. Its a higher priced hotel, but quiter and not so "loud" in colors. Are you getting married at the Grand? in the pavillion? A nice place to have your rehursal dinner is at one of the many rest.we have. If u want fun and great food try, Ohanna, at the polly. Or a clam bake at Board walk. How about something southern? try trails end at fort wilderness. the possibilties are endless. I was a vacation concierage there. So if you need help i definitly can assist you. I will be honest and say, go off property for a few things, there are tons and tons of dinner shows that are fun. And universal has the Walk so, u will find places there also(pat obriens)

WOW I guess there are alot of possibilities there; I went to the website www.allearsnet.com and found a great room at the Contemporary coming out in 2006 but I don't know if it will be available when I'm there. We're actually getting married at the Boardwalk Resort on the water...is that a good choice or should I change it? Some places I looked at tonight for dinner ideas were "Portobello Yacht Club" and the "Shula's Steak House". We're looking a little more towards something upscale for dinner; our dinner will be about 15-20 people, to include some children.
Do you know anything about the weddings? What is there to do for the women on the night before and also the morning of?

THe Spa at The Grand Floridian is PERFECT for the women to do the day before or the morning of!

I was thinking about doing the spa for the morning before since the wedding isn't until 4. I want to do it as part of the gift to them; do you know how much it costs? Is there a brochure for The Grand Floridian spa?

How far are you in your plans? Have you contacted Disney yet or do you just know that that is where you want to get married? They have a DVD they can send you that will tell you all of the best spots for a wedding ceremony, what their wedding packages include, etc. And their wedding coordinators help you every step of the way, so I am sure they can get you the info you need on The Spa. I will look in my things though and see if I have anything that will help you.

I am working with Maxine one of the coordinators but I have moved so I'm not getting anything from her anymore. And everytime I call to talk to her, she doesn't return my calls. I was told that they're all really busy with all the reschedule weddings from the hurricane so I'm not getting too upset because I understand.

I heard that Polyneasan was great to eat at. Thanks for the idea. I'll look into it.

Here is a link for the brochure. I didn't pay attention to whether or not prices are listed, but at least they can give you an idea of their services.
