 Help I'm looking for reception games, and not necessarily ones that include dancing. For example. At my Aunt and Uncles wedding they had the DJ announce that since my uncle was now officially married that all the women who still had his apt. key bring it up front. Every girl in the place brought up a key to "surrender" in this box.
Then the DJ goes on and on that he knows there is one more person who really cared for him and loves him very much, and it would be great for them to finally give up on him and turn their key in. His 78 yr. old neighbor who babysat him all his life and helped take care of him creeped up there and turned the key in. It was hilarious!
My FH and I are having a Notre Dame(football)/Irish St. Pattys Day theme...if anyone has ideas I'm open :)

Yeah, I've heard of the key thing before, it's cute :)
If you hate the glass clinking thing you can do this game where if the guests want you to kiss, instead of clinking their glasses, one of the tables has to stand up and sing a song with the word "Love" in it.
Also, at my Grandparents 50th, we planned the "not so newly wed game" which could always be switched back to "the newly wed game" for a wedding.
We also played this game that has nothing to do with weddings but it was a little game that could be played throughout the whole night and keeps people interacting with each other.... each person gets a paper clip that they clip onto their shirt/dress and throughout the night you try to steal as many paper clips as possible without the other person realizing... if they notice it and catch you in the act then you have to give them a paper clip instead. Whoever has the most paper clips at the end of the night wins. Of course my Nan ended up cheating and just balantly taking everyones paper clips and not caring lol.
here's some more ideas but some seem a little inappropriate: http://www.annas.ca/wedding_games.htm

That's so funny. At my cousin's wedding they had it set up to where all the bridesmaids would go up and give a key. When they were all done, my 80-year-old grandmother, totally impromptu, took it upon herself to run up there dangling a key and making kissy noises. We all got a kick out of it and the groom was pretty embarassed.
