Anyone having a Rainbow Wedding??

SO since i am so difficult and cant make up my mind, I am thinking Rainbow wedding. The light pink, lilac purple and a turquise! wha do you girls think of that?? this was i dont have to choose one color and i can have all three. its on the beach so i think maybe that would be fun. any thoughts??

I'll have to see it! I can't really picture it all that good. I like the pink and black, the light blue, and the several colors. I personally think for a beach wedding, you should go with the light blue. If you go with the rainbow look, just make sure they are light pale colors. I think that would be the best if you have so many colors. Have you seen those rainbow colors together? It might help to find a visual to look at.

That is actually what I am thinking of doing because my MOH dress is turquoise and the best colors that go with turquoise in my opinion are brown, pink, or purple. brown is out because I dont know of any brown or turquoise flowers so it was down to pink and purple and I think I'll go with both for the flowers at least.

Are you going to alternate them or let them choose which color they like? You could almost let your MOH chose which color she likes best and then just alternate from there or do 2, 2, 2.

I like the rainbow idea - I have always like bright colors and I think a bright pink, purple(any shade) and turquiose would look very pretty, plus it sounds way girlie.

I'm having a rainbow wedding. I have 6 girls and they are all going to be wearing the same dress in 6 different colors. When you put it all together it look amazing. I actually went to the local salon, pulled out the 6 shades by my designor (alfred angelo) and lined them up. They were all different dresses, obviously, but I got to see physically if it was what I wanted and I'm glad I did. Now I know I definatly do!!!

Sounds good! Those colors are great that you are considering. Think leis and fruit (pineapples, cantaloupe, etc), bright colored flowers, etc. I wanna see pictures of your wedding!! ha

oh i definately will be posting plenty of pics, but i have a long way to go yet! april of 07! but dont worry there will be tons of pics :p i think i have my mind made up here finally! i love that dress and the colors and it is very simple, yet elegent and beachy!

hey, i have allways wanted to have a rainbow wedding.......(was a tough job to convince everyone ....since they thought it would look like a circus,,,,but did managed at last ;) i was happy to see there were others who thought like me.....so i thought i'd share my ideas...

firstly we are having 7 bridesmaid all wearing the same dress pattern but in diffrent colours (with matching colour flower wreath thinges on their head) & the best man would wear similar selfcoloured shirts (pastel shades) with dark ties.
and walking right in the front would be the little flower girl dressed in a gold flirrly dress ( remember the myth at the end of each rainbow is a pot of gold)

at the enternce the uest will be given small little golden pouches with confette (its a tradition to throw confetee on the briday couple as they enter)

We wil have a 7 tier cake (rainbow colours) & on the top will be ( yeah you guessed right ) a pot of gold//with a small couple kissing on it (as in standing on the gold coins!!!!

We have a tradition at the end where the bride throws her bouque to all he spinster friends and it is believed that the girl who catches it will be the next one to get married.....now we are planning to change this tradition a little so that it fits into our theme......

,,,,,,,,,,.before that you must know that there is another myth that at the end of the rainbow there is suppose to be a LIPRICON (not sure if it is spelt that way) this is a little guy dressed in green with a gree hat & a fether at the end & it is believed that if you can catch him he will direct you yo where the pot of gold is hidden ,,,,,,,,,,,k so nw instead of throwing th bouque i will throw a small soft toy ( a green elef soft toy may be with a small feather) & to the girl who cated the Lipricon I will give a small golden pouch packed with goddies!!!!!


and for the givw aways we have not finalised it yet but it would be on the lines of a small gold pot (that can be used as a pen stand later) with colourful ribbons tied around it & filled with small gold coin chocolates......with a small thank you note in the form of a scroll inside the pot/

and for desert we will have vanilla icecream with sprinkles ( rainbow colourd)

i still cant decide wht the main center piece (underwhich we will cut the cake) should be......Any ideas????

can sm1 also help me with ideas how to decorate the church //////
for transportation i would love to have a chariot ( m nt sure hw that fits in...but tht has always been my dream) but the only problem is i avnt yet convinced my fiance on this one ( since we are from India & the traffic here is horrible)

I hope you like my ideas......and if any one has any ideas on how to apply the rainbow theme into my guestbk.....please let me know...

hey......i forgot to tell you the most importsnt thing... the reason why we are having a rainbow wedding......because my fiance n me have been seeing each other for 7 years and are finally gettng married in the 8th year ( remember the myth at the end of the rainbow (7) there is a pot of gold.....may sound cheesy....but.......it wks for us.......
