I am getting married at a resort in Hawaii next summer. My gown is, or can be very formal. I am still unsure about what the groom will wear. A formal tuxedo or khaki linen pants with a button-up shirt? What will look best in pictures?

We're getting married in Grand Cayman. I also have a very informal dress. We both agreed, no questions asked. That it'd looks best if he wore a white linen shirt and khaki's with sandals, then barefoot for pics. For a beach wedding I think it's the only way to go. Or have him wear a black linen shirt for a somewhat more informal look, I guess like a Black tux, black shirt?!?!?

I had the same dillemma for my Hawaii beach wedding. My dress is a white ballgown with layered tulle on the bottom adorned with lavender and turquoise colored crystal beads. I guess you could say it is formal but non-traditional. Anyway, FH was going to wear the tux because he thought khaki pants and linen shirt was too informal, but I talked him out of it. I found him an alternative. It is a Mandarin-collared (asian style) linen longsleeve shirt and linen pants. The groomsmen will wear regular khakis and button-down collared shirts. My Bridesmaids have short Lavender dresses. Good luck. :)
