never been on a cruise before, so I don't know much of what to expect. Havent been able to set up a time to talk to a travel agency yet about it, but I was wondering what you guys could tell me about them. Is there any particular cruise not to go on? Does it matter what time of the year it is?

there are tons of web sights for cruising. its not hard to do it by yourself. wont need a travel agent. plus if you book early u get upgreades usually and if u book closerto your time u might get deals.. always something catchy with cruises. easiest thing to do is check out what places u want to go then select a cruise

Depends on your budget, cruise lines are divided into a couple budget categories. I've only been on Celebrity (Alaska and Western Caribbean) and Royal Caribbean (Eastern Caribbean). If you are food lover, celebrity has better meal, but it's for more elderly crowd. Royal Caribbean has tons of fun stuff (climbing wall, mini golf, ice rink, etc.) Carnival is young and cheap. And there are lusury cruise line as well.

Depending on where you are heading, there are peak and low seasons. Go to orbitz.com, you can get an general idea of when each cruise route is cheaper. I hope this helps.
