How many invitation did you send? and how many actually attended (or plan on attending) your wedding?

I haven't gotten to the point of sending invitations yet, but I have read that an average of 20% of the guests invited do not attend.

only 20% won't attend?!?! Wow, that's much lower than I expected. I thought only 20% won't attend (especially for destination wedding).

It is just an average. I am sure that for a destination wedding, the number of declines will be higher.
