Ok, I just have to share! We are pretty sure that we want to go to St. Lucia and I am sooo excited. Does anyone have any good/bad advice for this spot?

That's so funny!!! Me and my fiance are looking at either St. Lucia or Tahiti. We have also thought about Jamacia but I'm not sure. I really want to go to St. Lucia also, My dad has been there and he absolutley loved it!! So, i'm thinking between St. Lucia and Tahiti we are trying to decide.... I went to the Sandals website and priced a vacation including flight and it was around 4,500.00 and to me thats a lot to spend on your honeymoon. You would think that St. Lucia would be less than Tahiti. If you are like me and my fiance and are trying to stay out of debt then you will choose the least expensive trip and destination. I'm sure there are other deals you can get with St. Lucia though I just looked at Sandals and they seem a little overpriced..... Hope that helps ya!

Take bug spray with you...St. Lucia has a lot of mosquitoes and you'll be glad to have some repellant with you. Out side of this, it is a beautiful honeymoon spot.

We are leaving for our honeymoon on St Lucia 10/10. We'll be staying at Ladera Resort (it is known for having the best restaurant on the island, open fourth wall and breathtaking views of the Pitons). Really looking forward to it. Friends who were married in July stayed at Anse Chastenet and really liked it.
I visited this island while on a cruise and loved it - but I'll post when I get back and let you know how a week was!

I heard the Sandals St. Lucia resort rocks!! This is my top pick right now. I'm getting married the day after you, maybe we'll be there the same time!! :cool:

Sorry, I forgot about this post! Our original plan was to go to Tahiti for 10 days but that was waaay too expensive so we started researching other areas. We went to Jamaica with FH family last year and I loved it, but he wanted to try something different. So, we found St. Lucia and read everything we could about it, we even went to the trip advisor to read the bad and good comments. We are almost positive that we will be honeymooning there. We are planning for a 10 night vacation and it should be around 6,000 which for us seemed pretty good since it is all inclusive. I also talked to my step-FMIL (or whatever, I usually just call her by her name) and they are going to help us out with the cost of it.
LauraK0124-we are planning on leaving the night of the 29th, we may see you there. I wish I could remember which sandals resort we had looked at, this is more of FH thing to plan.

We would be leaving the morning of Monday July 31st. Ours will only be 6 nights cuz I can't get too much time off of work. We looked at the St. Lucia Golf & Spa resort. I was talking to this guy at work, and he said of all 3 on St. Lucia, the golf & spa was the best. I'll let ya know as soon as I do if we're going!!
