Dress Hunting

Tomorrow (Sat. Aug. 13) I am going to go look for my dress!!! I am excited and nervous all at the same time. :o I am going to first go check out David's Bridal since my grandmother's friend works there and can get me a discount. If I don't find one there, I am going to some formal dress shop. My mother is a mail carrier and delivers mail to this shop. The woman is really nice and understanding. I actually got my prom dress from her. She said she can order me any dress I want and pay the price that she can get it for. She also does alterations.

I hope I find me one!! Wish me luck!! :p

try on lots, ones you dont even think you would like. AND dont just go to davids because of a deal. Get a dress you fall in love with! GOOD LUCK and have fun... remember to bring correct undergarndments.

Do you have an appointment for Davids tomorrow? Saturday is very busy there so don't be disappointed if they schedule you back with an appointment. If I were you I would call them today to set one up if you haven't already!

Sounds like the dress shop may be a better deal since she is giving you her cost...and you get a lot more choice. As the other girls have said, try on a bunch....you never know when you are going to find a dream dress that you never would have thought was it on the hanger...I know mine was that way....ended up just loving it on though

LOL! I wanted that exact same dress at first! It is very beautiful, but it didn't look right on me! I bet you will be so beautiful in it! Love that dress!

LOL!!! That is funny Ca Dawson! I guess I have pretty good taste. :D Now I am stuck between 2 different dress for my flower girl. I had one in mind before I found my dress. When I went to pick out mine I seen the matching flower girl dress. :confused:

I like the front of the 2nd one but not the back. Seems a little too much for a girl. I am going next weekend to go dress shopping for the first time. The one dress that I have seen that I really like has a matching flower girl dress with it. If I choose that dress, I will probably get the matching flower girl dress.

You could always take your flower girl and have her try them on and let her pick. Or at least see how they look on her, you may not like either one after you see them on her.

I hope I have as good as luck as you do finding a dress. I wasn't even in a hurry to go looking but my MOHs kept asking me when we were going.

I like the second one. I don't like the waist on the first, it could be the way the little girl is posing though. It seems too high or something. I think the second one is just adorable!

Thank you, Kerrie!! You are a sweetheart!! I bought my dress from David's Bridal. It only was like $560 or something like that. I love it!! :p

My favorite out of the dress you posted is # 1. It is beautiful!!! That is great that it has a detachable train. I am not using a wedding planner. I have alot of things I want done and by seeing the last wedding I went to, I wasn't pleased with the planner/coordinator. She made things her way and had any attitude. I am pretty sure not all of them are like that.

Congratulations Girl the dress is beautiful....I know that the dress I want is the one b/c there is no other dress that has all of the things that I want. I have always thought about what details I wanted for my dress and I have been looking for a long time. So I just hope that when I actually try it on I will love it. The woman I work with is always telling me that I won't like the first one I picked out and that I will change. I mean what kind of ish is that to tell a bride. No you will hate this and don't get this and do this for your wedding. It's like hello am I getting married or are you? Sorry about that rant... but Congrats again. It's beautiful and I know you will be beautiful in it.
