I noticed alot of complaints along with mine about davids bridal. I had such a bad experience before the alterations that I didn't want them to touch my dress. I took my dress to a someone I chose not theirs and I had good results. My dress looked great. Not to mention I was pregnant at the time and had to go in every few weeks and make sure it still fit right and if no they took it out a little more...... with all of that I only paid $10-$15 from start to finish and was much less that alterations at davids bridal.

So here is my suggestion:

Buy the dress from David's Bridal (face it you can't beat the prices) but take the dress to someone else to alter instead of relying on whoever gets the dress at David's Bridal. It may save you a few headaches

That's what I am planning on doing... David's Bridal is like an hour away from my house! Plus on the way back last time my friend and I got hit by an 18 wheeler so I'm cautious about going on the interstate there.

I am doing the same. I am getting my dress super cheap from there since my grandmother's friend works there and I can get a great deal. David's Bridal is also an Hour from my house and I don't like driving on the interstate either. Where are you from bride2be1986?
