I just got a call. One of those calls.... "You've just won an all inclusive, 3 day/2 night stay in one of our hotels... No catch.... Just come to our showcase.... You don't need to buy anything to receive your prize.... Blah blah blah." So I went and checked out their web site. There aren't a lot of pictures of the hotels themselves. FH doesn't really want to go because we've got a semi-busy weekend, but I'm curious.
So I need help by this Saturday! Anyone know ANYTHING about these guys??

I've been getting those calls too. My mom said she did one and it was legit, you go listen to them try to sell you overpriced but nice merchendise and for sitting through it you get a reward. My mom said the catch is that they really want you to buy their product and they will do or try almost anything to make a sale. Stay strong and it sounds like a pretty easy way to win something for free :)

LOL.. 'Staying Strong' will be easy. I have a 5 year old, AND I used to be a phone sales rep!!
Thanks for the advice!

After checking out the site, it looks to me like they are selling timeshare. Before you go, ask them if there are any requirements regarding income, age or marital staus. Lots of times the people that make these calls get paid per booking. So, they may not be upfront with you about the requirements. But, in my experience, many companies require a certain income level, a certain age minimum and that you are married. The married requirement can be waived if the single person's income is enough. If you do go, make sure you stand firm that you don't want to purchase. After all, these leeches...I mean, salespeople can be very persuasive.
Also, make sure that the weekend that you "won" has all the nights in one place. I have heard of people that "won" a 3 night weekend and they had to stay at three different resorts!

Wyndham hotels are a popular hotel chain, I dont think you will have a problem with the hotel itself. All the other girls gave you some good advice

I have worked for a company similar to what you are talking about and let me warn you. If you are not persistent or strong they are in to high pressure sales. I have been the one to book them and I have even gone to a few. Make sure that there are no requirements because they will send you home without your gift if you are not "qualified". Make sure you ask where the vacation package is because they do not pay for airfare. These are just some pointers.
