Hello,
Can someone give me any ideas on colors for my October 13th 2006 wedding? I kind of would like to have an orange (burnt) color and my favorite color is silver. So, I must have silver or platinum in there somewhere. :) I haven't really seen any of these colors together. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. HELP ME PLEASE!

I think it's totally possible to include Silver in a fall color scheme that includes burnt orange. We're doing copper, crimson, peach and touches of silver and gold. If you incorporate other metallic colors (gold mainly) I think it's a great color scheme for a fall wedding.

That sounds really cool. It's ok to put your own color scheme together. It doesnt have to be featured in ms magazine to be wonderful. Do you have any favorite flowers? That can help guide a path to your color scheme. Depending on what shade of orange can really make a difference too. I think that silver/platinum is both classic & "in" right now, so no matter what it will be striking!

Thank you Bobbysgirl. Your wedding colors sound beautiful. Maybe, I'll look into that copper or maybe a mocha/chocolate color along with the orange.

Well, I love tulips, orchid,the Iris, roses, carnations. I am sure I'll be able to pull something together. I'll just have to do some research.
Thanks NewBride

Tulips, roses and carnations come in all sorts of fall colors. So do calla lillies which are one of my favorites. Adding chocolate isn't a bad idea either. Silver and brown go together well. The flowers can always add all the color if you have chocolate bridesmaids gowns and table linens.

Michaels, Hobby Lobby and even Walmart carry a lot of silk flowers in burnt orange. They have some beautiful calla lilies and irises in that color - heck, i have real irises in that color in my yard! Silver will go great with that color - I absolutely love burnt orange - in fact, I'm getting a new SUV that's going to be that color :P

chocolate brown or plum colored dresses would look beautiful with burnt orange flowers. You can use silver with things like stationery, ribbons, containers for centerpieces. I too love burnt orange. I think it's a great color!

I am also getting married next October, the 7th. I am going to be using orange, red and I think I will use silver also. For my flowers I think I am going to use the big gerber daisies. For my centerpieces I am thinking about getting little silver plant pots, putting a daisy in them along with some wheat.

Another great fall color is purple. Burnt orange and purple with silver trim would be rustic, and pretty at the same time.
Hope this helps!

[QUOTE=chandra_j23][COLOR=DarkOrchid][SIZE=2][FONT=Comic Sans MS]Hello,
I am getting married October 14, 2006 in beautiful Tennessee with all the fall colors surounding us. Naturally, I picked a lighter orange but paired it with azalea, a bright happy pink. The silver with those two colors would convey elegance with a sense of style and overall joy for the occasion. Definately a unique twist on the traditional fall colors. Good luck and congrats to you!

Woohoo-you're my date twin!!!! We're also getting married Oct. 14, 2006-but in Cleveland, Ohio-where I'm from. We're doing a fall theme as well and using lots of dark reds, burnt orange and copper, and goldish yellows. Probably some chocolate brown in there as well-just dark beautiful colors that make you think of fall!!
