The hall that i'm using has a white wall behind the head table and I have cut out leaves that i'm going to put on the wall and the 2 biggest ones will have the bride & grooms name on them then a bunch of smaller ones, i'm thinking about putting the groomsmen & bridesmaids names on smaller leaves. I have been trying to look up pictures of headtable backgrounds on the internet and haven't had much luck, should i be searching for something different?? If anyone has any suggestions for my idea that would be good too. What are you doing for decorations behind the headtable??

I think that's a great idea :) Mine has a fireplace behind it so we're going to have a lit ivy garland go over the mantle and then have small votive candles lit on it. We're going to have the bridesmaids put their bouquets in holders along the fireplace as well.

All the weddings I've gone to have a bay window behind the head table, so I won't be much help. That sounds like a really cool idea though.
(Our wedding's outside and we've bought a silk flower garland to swag across the head table. )
You may want to try something with projection lighting... Ryan used to be a lighting designer, so if I think of it, I'll ask him what he thinks; he always has really cool ideas. (When he stopped working at the store, they lost half the contractors and interior decorators because they didn't want to work with anyone else there :D )

We're using live plants (Butterfly bush or Crape Myrtle) I love live plants and you will have them for a long time

We are having our reception at a fire hall and our head table will be in an L shape in the corner...I was thinking of reusing our arch as a decoration behind it since it will already be decorated and we have to remove it from the ceremony site anyway.
