OK I figured I make a effort at keeping a journal of my renewal planning. But first I will give you a breif history of my husband and I. OK here it goes.

My husband and I met through a co-worker. Our first date was in Jan. 1995 and it was the date from H-E Double Hockey Sticks. Most people would have been too freaked to go out again but we did. I will give you a very quick summary of it.

A) I got lost going to meet him. (He didn't have a car at the time.)

B) Slung salsa all over the table because I was so nervous.

C) Car died because I left the dorm light on inside of the car.

D) Had a wreck in the movie parking lot.

It was really bad to say the very least, but we decided to go out again. We dated for a few months and then we be***e engaged in late spring. I posted the story of our engagement in another post of how we got engaged. We had a simple outside wedding at my parents. I always regretted not having the wedding like I had always dreamed of when I was younger. I was telling my husband about my misgivings about not doing it the way I wanted. He mentioned that we could do it all "right" for our 10 year wedding anniversary if we made it to then. We have had lots of up and downs over the past 10 years. We even almost split up at one point. We have survived with lots of prayer support and counseling. Well we are planning to have our wedding renewal on October 22, 2005 at our church the day after our 10 year wedding anniversary. We are planning to have a more spitual ceremony and include some of the things our wedding did not have.

OK I actually went walking last night. My ankles are slightly hurting today as proof. Yeouch! I kept telling myself last night no pain no gain. I wished I kept loosing when I lost the weight the first time. Stupid but I gave up. I want to loose at least another 40 pounds by October. According to my sister I brought my pattern too small. I am sort of confused to why they would make wedding dress sizes two sizes smaller anyway. What is up with that? Bride stresses out enough about not wanting to feel fat and the dress size has to be all whacked out like that? But oh well! I going to work out this morning when I take my hubby to his job today. He starts at a gym today even with it being the 4th of July. He is happy anyway; he had been trying to get on there for a good 6 months I say.

I am going to hang out with a girl friend today. We may go suit window shopping for hubby. I am still wavering on if I will get him plain black suit or if I might accented it with a Burgundy vest and tie off ebay. I think it would accent my dress so well. My husband is totally fine with whatever I pick. He is at least telling me what he likes and don't like this time around. I am also going to ask my other girl friend (sister of the one I hanging out with) if her friend found anything out about the hotel. Her friend works for a large business and the company owns a fancy hotel. I do mean fancy! I would be paying a large sum of money out if I tried to pay for it on my own. I have included the link since the pic is too big to upload to here. I am crossing my fingers she get us a room booked! Well I am going to go for now. I add more later. Maybe I come back with happy news about the hubby's suit choice.

No suit yet but put a bid down for the burgandy vest and tie off on ebay.

Thank you!! I am hoping to ask her today. I hope I do to; it would be so romantic!!

Darn! slight glitch! The hotel where we would like to stay has a huge medical convention going on that very week-end . My friend's friend says there is not anything available at the discount. Crap!! She says the only way it would be a go if someone decides to cancel. At this point its a wait and see game.

Hey musicity! I am so glad to see a fellow renewer! it's kind of odd planning a renewal on these boards when everyone else is planning their first time around, but I hope you do not hold back because it's simply a renwal, you should have all the trimmings that you want and have always dreamed about, good luck! post lots of idea pics!

Hey!! I do plan on doing so. I got a few ideals today and I wanted to ask a few ppl what they thought? Our church has the capabilty of displaying images up toward the front. I got these 2 ideals and I really don't want to come across as a cheese ball so I wanted to throw it out there and see what everybody else thinks?

1st Option:

I was thinking about taking all the snap shots from when I got married and put them as a slide show as ppl are coming in to be seated. Loop the images so they play over and over before the ceremony.

2nd Option:

(I think this option would be harder to pull off.) I was also thinking about displaying the images of my wedding as each part of the ceremony happens.
Example: As my hubby and I are walking in the picture of my Dad escorting me down the aisle would appear. The only thing about this is I think I would be too distracting for the guest. That is why I am tending to lean toward my first option.

I would like your feed back as if this is a totally silly ideal and if I should bag the ideals all together. What do you think?

Kelly1Mickey

I like option 1. The second option would be too distracting, like you said.

My Tiara has arrived. I have to go pick it up at the post office. I hope it is all I dream of it being. I know it looks so pretty in the pic. I need to go and take it and have the hair stylist to fix it with a trail run. I hate for her to fix such a tight updo that I would hate it because I be misereable.

There is still many more things to buy. I was thinking about the gifts brides normally buy for the wedding party, however I will not be having a wedding party. My dang family can not get along or can't shut up with their own opinions long enough for someone else to speak. I figured I just forego that all together to avoid the nasty comments I would be subjected to.

My renewal is about hubby and I. Not everyone else! They will not do that to me again. I remember how stressed I was when we got married. I got to the point I just wanted to elope. All I heard was no you can't do that or do this or something like oh no did you? One such situation: My husband and I got out of the car to go get our marriage license from the town's county court clerk and I somehow managed to slam one of my fingers in my car door. I screamed and my husband (fiancé at the time) ***e over and looked at it. All of sudden out of no where my dad pulls up with a worried look saying "Is she ok?"

Hubby says yeah she is ok she just caught her hand in the door. Well that was not a good thing, because when we got over to my parents house and walked in the door to my mom saying "Please tell me you did not slam your ring finger in the car door?!" I was like no I didn't slam my ring finger in the car door. (My dad had went straight home and told her.) The whole time my wedding planning was like this yelling and bossing. I refuse to go though that again!

If I buy any kind of appreciation gifts it will be for the officiate, coordinator, musicians, etc. I am going to enjoy myself this time around. Anybody with attitudes can just Stay Home!!

I still bouncing things around in my head about what music I would like to have sung. I am having my BIL sing the 2 songs he sung at my wedding during the prelude time. "River" and "Keeper of the Stars" would be sound better sung by a guy. "River" was my husbands choice and "Keeper of the Stars" was my choice. I like so many differnt songs I am making the music choices the hardest part! Agggh The only thing I know to do is to make some of the other songs I am thinking about to be intrusmentals. If I was to include everything the ceremony would end up being a hour long. lol

Songs I am leaning with right now are:

"River"

"Keeper of the Stars"

"The Lord's Prayer"

"Beautiful" sung by Twlya Paris (Man the song is so pretty! It give you goose bumps)

The last one I am toying with is like a chorus or another song called "Bonded" by Twlya Paris.

I would use the song "Bonded" during the unity candle ceremony.

Gosh, I am making this too durn hard on myself! lol

I have been thinking of the favors I want to do. I have already bought some bubbles and tulle circles. I was thinking about using half of the tulle circles for bird seed and the other half to put choc kisses in them. I am thinking about replacing the phrase with Hugs and kisses from the new Mr & Mrs with this

Years past we exchane vows to last.
Today our vows we will renew
in sight of our Lord and you.

We thank you for celebrating
with us today.

Does this sound too corny?

My other favor ideal is to make book marks. I got a templette from online and typed something up already. All I would have to do is go find some card stock that would match my colors closley. Maybe I will go with Ivory card stock because that would be easy to add print to.

I have already bought quite a bit of things for our ceremony. I been buying things as I see them. I really have got some major deals by really looking around. Here are few of the things I have brought.

1) Guest book, bubbles, and dove confetti for a dollar a item.

2) Ivory favor circles, small burgundy roses, ivory pearl strings

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/PearlsBeadsforDecorations.jpg

3) Invitations that can be printed on my pc

4) programs (It may be a little light in this pic but its much darker)

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/OurPrograms.jpg

5) Unity Candles and brass candle holder
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/OurUnityCandleSet.jpg

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/UnityCandleHolder.jpg

6) Cup cake card board server (planning on having cup cakes as extra as well as the cake) and Ivory and Burgundy Napkins.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/CupcakeHolder.jpg

7) Mini silver wedding photo album for wedding pics.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/PhotoAlbum.jpg

8) Satin Ivory dress material and dress pattern

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/WeddingDressPattern.jpg

I want the neck line that is on the left of the pictures. I want my sleeves to be more of a cap sleeve so i can wear the shawl that comes with the pattern. I got to loose some more pounds if I plan to do so. I have lost 42 since last oct but I want to loose a total of 80 to 90 pounds by then. I got to get my feet to walking!

My sister is suppose to be making my dress for me. The problem is she has had the pattern and material since Memorial Day. She has not even cut out the pattern. I am trying to be patient because she is making it for me for free but it is hard to when I want to see what it would look like. Update: I spoke to my sister today. (7/16/05) She has to take her sewing machine to have it fixed. So she still plans to make the dress for me! Yippie!!!!!!!!!!

9) Tiara
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/PrincessTiara.jpg

10) Comfort Fit Wedding Bands are on lay a way

11) I owe my photographer less then a $100.00. (I am getting him for $299.00 for 2 hous. He is given me my photos on a CD @ no extra charge. He is going to give me a waver to print my pictures where ever I want to.) MusicCityGirl does the happy dance!!

Update: Made another payment to the photographer. I only owe him another 50 and he is paid off! Yippee!!!

I don't have to worry about decorations for the church sanctuary or fellowship hall because a sweet dear lady at my church is going to provide all that for free. All I have to do is provide the food. I also do not have to worry about paying lots of money for a videography because my husband'e neice will do it for us for free.

Thanks Reecy!! I guess I have had 10 years to think about how I would like to do it right. lol A co-worker is going to help me decorate (she use to decorate) it so I don't have to go to a cake decorater. However I have my husband neice on stand by if the co-worker bails on me.

I finally got my Tiara and had to do a little repair work to it. Some of the pearls were falling out of the settings. I was bummed but I thought I would spend more money sending it back for a new one. I picked up some super glue this morning and glued the fake pearls back. I then took the super glue wrapped it up in the plastic the Tiara ***e in and put it in the bag with the Tiara. I want to be prepared if I have too. The Tiara is cute but I think I imagined it prettier then it is. It will work though. I am thinking about wearing it toward the front of my head (crown) with a up do. I really want something elegant. I could wear it as a head band but I think it would be too plain that way.

I won the Tux vest and Tie off of Ebay. It will not be shipped out until early next week. I think it would go really well with a black suit. The only problem is my hubby is quite tall. He is like 6'2 but mostly LEGGGSSSS. This is going to be a challenge for me. (lol) I would hate to buy him a suit that would be 2 inches short. We get accused of being a bunch of hillbillies. (lol)

I paid on the wedding bands the other day. They are gold comfort bands and hubby likes how it fits on his finger. I want to have them engraved with the saying "You are my beloved" October 21, 1995. (Our oringinal wedding day) The problem is my ring is a little too small but I would like to wait until closer to the date so I know how much I have actually lost. I not sure if we would get the ring sized before or after the engraving. I really do not know how this will work.

I sent the photographer another payment and all I will owe him is 2 sep payments or one big one. I called him yesterday to only find out I had interupted him on another job. Man I felt like a idiot. I told him I let him go because I didn’t want to take his time away from someone else. I know I wouldn't like it to happen to me at least I hope it doesn't.

I still leaning hard to doing a updo but here are some of the hair styles I have found.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/LayaredStyle.jpg

I think this look is so seductive and sexy! hehe I am not sure if it would go with a Tiara though.

I went last night and got a autograph mat for my renewal. I got the smaller 4x6 pic mat. I put a pic from our first reception. It is a close up of us. I antiqued it at the local wal-greens. I will display that for the renewal ceremony and then replace it with one of our pro renewal pics. It looks pretty good.

I brought all my ladies gifts last night. I got 8 crystal figurines ornaments at a very cheap price. I got 4 butterfly, 3 oval boxes, and one dolphin. I am going to give the dolphin one to the girl who is going to decorate my cake. She is a big dolphin fan. I thought they would be really cute with it being the start of the holiday season the next month.

I still need to buy for the men who will be involved with the ceremony. I seen some really neat key rings at wal-mart with a religious saying. I might get those but I have not made of my mind as of yet.

I put the cake topper the hubby wanted for his cake on lay a way with some confetti and lace for our cake.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/Ihaveyounow.jpg
Here is a pic of what it looks like. He thinks it would be fun to put on his cake for the heck of it.

I put a scale that is high enough for my weight. I could easily monitor my weight better. I say cool!!!!

I purchased 2 burgundy rose balls. (I guess that is what they are called)
There were on sale for $2.00 a piece and matched my colors really well, :)
If they go even cheaper I might go back and get the others and make them as center pieces for the reception. I could just clip the ribbon off and sit it inside a basket of some sort.

I trying to keep the spending at a minimum but durn that is hard to do.

My puppy scratched me on the face yesterday on accident. We were taking him to the vet and I guess he sensed it because he was acting scared. I had him in my lap and that was a really bad move on my part. He tried to climb over my shoulder and got me. His scratch drew blood. I have a scratch at least a inch long on my face. I am very worried it is going to scar bad. I am hoping it will not show up in the renewal pics.

My colors are the same colors as my original wedding colors. Burgundy, dusty pink, and ivory. We are not having a wedding party at this time. We plan to only have my husband's grand niece to be our flower girl. My family can not get along or keep their opinions to themselves for me want to go back through that again. Here is a bouquet & boot. I really like these and would like to have them done in silk.

I have figured out a way to have a photo montage for my husband's and mine renewal. I am going to pick a bunch of pics from when we were young to our original wedding. I can go to wal-greens and scan them all and then save them to a photo disc for $2.99. Whew, should be pretty easy!! I would not have to worry about music because it would be looped and play while the guest are being seated.

The church is in the process of being repainted. They may have the new stain glass windows in by our renewal. They are planning on updating the church to more modern taste. I am anxious to see what it will look like. It will probably make the renewal pictures even more captivating. I wanted to see the design tonight but the guy who is over the project was like no you can't see them. Sorry. I was like durn! Durn him he is going to make me wait! lol

I been buying silk roses as I see them. Some of the ones I have bought colors were not as close as I like. I had stopped at the wal-mart down the road from my job when we were taking the puppy to the vet last week-end. I had to buy him a leash because I could not find the one here at the house. I stopped on the silk flowers aisle just to see if they had anything. I hit the MOTHER LOAD!! I told hubby these colors are perfect. I ask one of the workers if I could put crafts on lay a way and she said anything but clearance. I ***e back later and put every single rose I could find on lay a way. (It was close to $40) I could have went online and spent that amount but the cool thing with lay a way is you pay as you can! I also put rose petals and a croquet set on lay a way too. I played croquet with my family when I was a kid. I was thinking how cool it would be to own one.

I found out that my job may be doing another trade agreement with a chalet in Gatlinburg. (I work at a radio station) My husband and I stayed in one a few years ago. We loved it!! My husband and I could stay for a overnight stay at the hotel we stayed at when we got married. It is close to Crossville TN and we could wake up early the next morning and head to Gatlinburg. (It was the last room left and it happen to have French Doors that opened into a room with 2 four poster beds. It had a couch in the room and I thought was a neat hotel room to found for a newlywed couple who was on a budget. It was pretty cool.)

My hope is to try to get a 2 night stay around the renewal. My friend is trying to get me a room at the Gaylord in town the night of our renewal. The problem is there is a big convention booked for that week-end and I would not be able to get it at the discount. The cool thing about the chalet would be that I could do a Sunday/Monday stay type of thing. They would probably be more in agreement to do this because it would be on "off season" nights. Here is a link of the chalet we stayed in a few years ago.

My dad will not walk me down the aisle since I am already married. I think I will have my husband walk in with the pastor at the beginning and then walk down the side aisle and wait at the door way right before I get ready to walk in. This way he will not see me until that moment and will be surprised. He will take my hand and escort me down the aisle.

My husband and I are not having anyone stand up for us except his grand niece who will be the flower girl. I am going to have my pastor lay our wedding bands on the altar right before he greets and welcomes everyone. My pastor will turn around and pick them up off the altar when it is time for us to exchange wedding bands. My hope he will say they have come to recommit themselves and the wedding bands laying on the altar is to symbolize their marriage is God centered.

Unique ideals for what I hope will be a unique renewal ceremony.

I have not updated in a while so here I go.

This is not the greatest shot. This is the church sanctuary. I told the lady who is doing my decorations that I just want something simple. I really don't want anything overdone. I hope they will move the pulpit and put up her lighted arch close to where the pulpit would stand. She has pretty crystal candle holders. I really just want two candle holders on either side of the arch. She also has many more of the white pillars. She says she has several actually. My hope is she will take the tallest and put the candles on those and stair step down with the pillars. Those two pottied plants would look really cute on pillars in front of the candles. I want the Renewal to reflect soft romantic thoughts. :)

Here is what the front of our church looks like. The winding stairway can not be seen in the pic. (It is in the round part of the church) It is not a dramatic one but I would like to have pics made on the stairway. The reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall. I went to the Dollar Tree over the week end and bought 10 journals for $1 each. I wish I had a pic but I will do my best to describe them. They are light pink and light blue. The cover has an oval clear plastic with the imprint of the word Journal about a 1/4 down the cover. The word is encircled with roses. It was not exactly what I wanted but will work anyway. My goal is to go back and see if I can find something masculine in a few weeks. I may go with my original plan and give them to couples instead of individually. Here is a pic finally:

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/PinkBlueJournal.jpg

I went into big lots Friday and found some candles similar to these. A pack of 12 for less then $7. I will go back and buy some more when I get paid. I hope to use burgundy and mauve flower petals and arrange them as they are in this picture. I have dark silk red rose petals on lay a way now.

I wanted to find a inspirational pic of my "memories" table. My goal is to have a table to display items like our original wedding pic, marriage license, bouquet, and wedding pictures.

I also have been doing research of my families and have found some of the marriage records on microfilm. My goal is to frame them with some pictures of my ancestors. I want to display them on the table at different heights to add effect. I really want the table to be different and dramatic. I not sure how I will do this. Maybe I will borrow a few boxes from work that are different sizes and put some pretty fabric over them.

I could possibly incorporate my burgundy, mauve and ivory colors into this by buying burgundy material and accentuate it with mauve and ivory flowers.

Butterfly provided these ideals, which I think are great!

1. fact sheets from the year they got married, u know the "this day in history..."
2. a bottle of champagne (the same kind they served at their wedding)
3. their cake topper
4. their guest book from the wedding with the guest book from the anniversary party
5. engagement story and accomplishment story from the time after marriage (# of kids, bought a house, successful accomplishments, vacations, etc)

I think the table would look very nice with a staged effect. Maybe you could use a few small shipping boxes and **** them down on a card table to create the effect so all items could be easily seen with out blocking each other. Of course cover them with a table cloth. Place the pictures and marriage license on the blocks, maybe the flower bouquet in the middle directly below with the other items you choose on the sides.

Some of my friends helped and provided pics. Here are some inspirations pics that I can help to incorporate ideals. Thank you ladies!!

Beth provided this pic. I like her ideal of collage pics. I could go buy me on of the oval pic collage frame I brought for my husband's niece. I could place our original snap shots in the frame and display it.

Adana provided this pic and I never thought of the ideal of a Initial on our table. I would like to go purchase a letter "M" since it is the beginning of our last name.

I ordered my reaffirmation certificate the other day. I want to get a pic of me holding it looking over my hubby's back with the "OK" single. I had always wanted that when I was young and now I will have it. :)

It occurred to me that I didn't post my ideal for favors. I C&P from my theme post. My Renewal theme is going to be "The Journey Continues"

OK I have had another ideal come to me this morning. I was thinking I could take and print the poem "A Road Less Traveled" onto some really nice ivory or even mauve paper. I could be creative and make the edges really fancy and embellish it. The thought ***e to me that I could take that poem and paste it inside a nice cheap journal. I could embellish the journal with some of the tiny burgundy roses I brought a while back.

I could get really creative and make the journal to match my colors (maybe Light burgundy material) and then that would be a favor they could take home and use again. I could write in my thank you cards (they say "Thank You for sharing our Special Day") something to the nature of a place for you to write your moments of your journey of life. I figure I might be able to find some inexpensive ones at the Dollar Tree. We could give them out to all our guests at the reception or even in the receiving line. I could go buy some really cool pencils or little note pads to give to the children. This way they will not feel left out. What does everyone think? Does this sound cheesy? I don't want to come across as one huge cheese puff.

I have been working on this today:

Road Less Traveled

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference

I really have been kind of partial to heart shaped cakes. I still want the whimsical cake pattern but with a heart shaped cake. I am not sure if my husband's niece has access to separator plates to make the cake look stack. If she doesn't I will place flowers in between the separator plates.

Well I won the cake pans I been biding for off of Ebay! :woohoo: Here they are:

What I can see in my mind is a 3 tier stacked heart shaped cake decorated with the Whimsical knife sweeps. If the 3 tier stacked cake is not a option I can compromise with the 3 tier heart shaped cake with roses in between the tiers. Here are a few round cakes that have them in between. I am not sure if it would look odd or not.

Things I still need to complete:

Wedding Rings: $48.00 left
Photographer: $50.00 left
Husband's dress shirt and black suit jacket
My shoes
Work on and print off invitations.
Get the lay a way out this week that has the husband's cake topper in it.
Pay on my silk flowers that are on lay a way.

I need to decide on the food for the reception. I am thinking about finger foods such as hou’douves (sp?) and sandwiches. I have got to go compare prices.

I got my cake pans today. That cake is going to be huge if I decide to use to big pan. Holy Mackerel!! She even included a never used small extra bonus pan that was from Michaels that was $4.49. I don't see how she made a profit off this sell because I only paid her $16.79 for product and shipping! Now all I would have to worry about is the separator plates. Yesss! Plans are coming together!

I thought I add our original wedding pic (snap shot) You can see what we wore that day. (My Wedding outfit was a blouse and a long skirt) I wish I could borrow the jewelry set from my friend again. (It was real pearls.)

I stopped at another Dollar Tree and man I hit a gem of a sale. I got 13 more journals today. I could not find the same style I brought before, but picked out 10 that had with roses on the cover. Each of them had a ribbon tied to it. I got several that had olive green and dark pink ribbons. I find a signal one with yellow tied to it. I was thinking how they really did not match the others I bought a week ago; nor did the ribbon match my colors; when I got an ideal.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/GreenJournal.jpg

I going to wrap each journal in the wedding wrapping paper I bought. (No one will be the wiser) The paper has panels of dark ivory back ground with a different color rose in each panel. Every other one has a ivory rose or a pink rose. The panels are separated with light pink border. I really wanted plain burgundy or mauve wrapping paper; but I was willing to compromise. (Heck, just a dollar for the roll; I really can not complain.)

The three extra journals are from my pianist's 3 grand daughters. I am sure they will be with her at the Renewal. I really do not want them to feel left out. I may just give them to the grand mother so she can them to her grand daughters herself. Here is a pic of the journal I am going to give the girls.

I have thank you cards I will address with the saying "A place for you to write about your journey of life." (The thank you cards are for the adults.) Thank you for sharing with us.

I also found the prettiest small ivory embossed octagon favor boxes. (There is 10 to a pack so I brought 5. I only plan to invite 50 people at the most. I am thinking about putting choc kisses in these.) I said an Ashleeism to my husband right in the middle of the store. "How cute is that!" Here are a few pics I found that look similar to them to give you a ideal:

The 2nd one looks most like it.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/EmbossedCone.jpg

I also picked up another pack of wedding bubbles and some more silk leaves from the dollar tree as well. We left there and went into Michael's. I was toturing myself!! I saw a acrylic frame with the letter "M" and thought I have got to get this and put it on my memoirs table! It was actually $6 dollars and marked down to $3. I thought heck yeah and picked it up. We were walking around looking at wedding things when I saw ribbon on clearance. It is Offray dark ivory ribbon that says "Love Faith Hope" so I picked that up as well. I am going to make bows and put them on the front of the journal after I wrap them. I saw another bin of ribbon at the front of the store that was a dark red so I picked that up as well. I was like OK that is it.

I have so many ideals that I going to make myself go broke; if I am not careful.

I paid my photographer the last payment I owed him. Yesssss! Thank goodness. I will not have to worry the day of the Renewal. I owe another $48 on our bands. My husband and I may exchange the rings the night before the Renewal due to my pastor doesn't want a ring ceremony. He says he will talk about the importance of them. I was annoyed but what am I going to do. A lady at church is helping with the decorations and the church is not charging me a cleaning fee. I got to compromise rather I want to or not. Oh well. I only owe another $45 on the silk flowers on lay-a-way. I just got to find me some shoes and the hubby a dress shirt and a suit jacket. I do have a ? Would gray boots with a black suit and burgandy accents look odd? My hubby is going to wear boots this time and that is all he owns right now. (Mom didn't want him to wear them at the wedding so I want him to wear them if he wants.)

I went to my sister's house and tried on my Renewal Dress. My sister wanted to be in the room first to see my expression so I got the ideal of having her take a pic of me so I can share. Here is a pic of me when I first walked into my sister's guest bedroom. Here is my first impression.

She wanted to make my dress special and it not just look plain so she added some things. This is an up close pic of the front of my dress. This is appliqués she added.

Here is a close up of the dress while I am wearing it.

She had to alter the sides and back of the dress. It was really big before she did.

Here are the shoes I brought and took with me to wear when I tried on the dress. They are big but there were only like $4.34 so heck not too bad of a deal.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a164/MusicCityGirl/MyShoes.jpg

OK here is the front of the dress. The pic is not the greatest but that is what my photographer is going to do. Yes!! My sister will be put the pearl embellishments and putting them along the bottom of my dress when she puts the hem in. I really wish I had a better pic. I was worried the shoes were too dark but my sister says it will go well with the embellishments she brought. I hope so.
