Whoa... my FMIL actually suggested that! We both love cheesecake.
I nixed the idea for one reason only: I don't know what it is, but too much sugar/preservatives/something makes my face and the back of my neck get all flushed, clammy, and burning and cheesecake is one of the worst offenders... luckily Ryan's always willing to help me finish a piece. It's not fair... everyone laughs at my little "hot flashes" and tells me they're good practice for the future. People look at me like I'm nuts for fanning my face frantically, and I can't stand my face burning up while the rest of me is freezing.

We have considered this and will be probably talk to my caterer about it. The only concern I have is that nobody makes a cheesecake as delicious as my mom's!

we talked about doing this because we both love cheesecake and we live really close to The Cheesecake Factory (yes there really is such a place and at certain times of the month it is heaven on earth!)...The caterers could probably stack it using the cake stands instead of piling the cakes on top of each other.

A Cheesecake Factory opened up this winter about 6 blocks from our house. I thought we were going to have to move to save our butts from growing to mass proportion. The good news is that wait is always so ****ed long (3 hours the one night) that we never go there. I wish I could say the same about the Coldstone Creamery that is next to the Cheesecake Factory. On a plus note when the Cheesecake Factory opened so did Steve Madden, BCBG, and Kenneth Cole. So at least I can walk by and look at the skinny dressing dummies in the windows as I gorge myself.

I love cheesecake too!!!!!!!! We are having the traditional wedding cake that will have layers of carrot, custard filled, chocolate, and white and then it will have two stairs coming down off each side of the cake onto 2 cheesecakes! The lady that is doing the cake makes to die for cheesecakes!! :D

I know, they look great and sound soo delicious! Too bad they are WAY out of my price range. I mean $130 for a cake that serves 10-12? I don't know about you guys, but I'm liking Costco at $14 for a cake that serves 50!

OoOooOOOoo.....Cheesecake....mmmmm.......
Cheesecake is my favorite thing in the whole world :) I kinda wanted to do a cheesecake wedding cake too, but then figured it would cost more, be less pretty, and too much work (to find a baker to do a nice one).
Have you ever had some from the Cheesecake Factory? They are HUGE and if you order traditonal (they have all kinds of flavors!), it comes with a cream cheese topping on it, it kinda looks like whipped creme. Oh, it's to die for!
