i have no idea what to wear. what would look good on me? as of right now my measurments are 38, 36, 40. i have a job m-f 8am-5pm i don't think i will be able to go try on dresses unless i ask for a day off so any help would be nice. i was thinking one sholder strap and i think a-line would look better for my figure but any help or pictures would be wonderfull.
it's not high on the priority list i have plenty of time i jsut really like looking and planning :D

most bridal shoppes are open on saturdays too - and with summer here, a lot are open on sundays as well. I would start looking online to get an idea of the style of dress that you like. There's a forum on here where a bunch of people posted pictures of their dresses - that might give you an idea. It was hard for me to find a style that fit my body - I'm a 34/32/42 in measurements. (I'm very hippy) I chose an a-line gown that I think looks great on me - pretty much a line gowns look great on any body style.

First, call and make an appointment... then you won't be wasting time waiting for someone to help you.
Second, start out with dresses that are extremely different and slowly narrow down what general things look good or bad on you until you find out that you look best in... in my case, strapless a-line gowns with a sweatheart neckline or at least not a straight one and some focal point near the waist and corset backs and... eventually you'll find the one that fits everything and looks awesome. (I was totally shocked with what did and didn't work for me.)

You have pretty much the same measurements that I do. Below is a link to my dress if it helps. A lines look good as do ball gowns. I would just avoid sheaths and mermaid styles. Also call around in your area. Not only are most bridal stores open Saturdays and Sundays but usually they have at least one night a week where they are open until 8 or 9. http://www.maggiesottero.com/catalog/window.php?27
