Well I just got out of graudated high school on June 4th and I am engaged to be married on July 22, 2006. :) I met chris one day when i was workin at Younkers. Him and his sister ***e in shopping and i thought he was really cute but i wasn't going to do or say anything to him. i noticed that after awhile he kept looking at me and as they were leaving the store his sister(kayla) ***e back to ask me my age, name and phone number because he was kind of shy. i gave her my age and name and told her that i was going on break and that i would come over and talk to them in a minute. i was 16 at the time and he was 20 but he only looked 18. We talked and walked around the mall for an hour and then i gave him my number before i went back to work. I didn't really expect him to call or anything though. But sure enough that night he called. He wanted to go to a movie or something but i wasn't so sure about it because of out age difference so i made up some excuse why i couldn't. He never stopped trying though even though i kept telling him that i couldn't. On one saturday night though when he called i told him that i would be at a club downtown and that he could meet me there if he wanted to and sure enough he was there. We spent like 3 hours just talking well until he kissed me anyway. And after that night we were pretty much inseperable. We did everything together and after only dateing for 3 weeks he told me he loved me. i wasn't so sure if i did or not so i didn't say it back for a couple more weeks. I knew for sure that he was the guy for me when we were at a park one night talking. He put in a cd and turned on one of my favorite songs(i swear by boys 2 men)and asked me to dance under the stars with him.
On December 23, 2005 Chris purposed to me. I was suppose to work that night but i called in so we could spend some time together. We were gonna go out to eat and then just hang out and talk at him place. Instead of going straight to the resturant though he took me to one of my favorite places(the grays lake bridge). It lights up in all different colors at night and is absolutely gorgeous. He asked me what my favorite color on the bridge was and thats where we stood. He told me how much he loved me as he held me and then turned me twords him and gave me a hug and a kiss. I didn't know what he was going to do so i wanted to leave cuz i was cold so i took his hand hand and started to pull on him so we could leave and then when i turned to look at him he was down on one knee with the ring in his hand and asked me to marry him. i didn't know what to say. i was shocked. i think i asked him if he was serious a million times before i said yes. My mom wasn't too happy about it though cuz she thinks im too young but hey you dont live forever. she's comin around though.
We moved in together in january after i turned 18. We will have been together 2 years on august 11th and things are still going pretty good. i mean we fight but what couple doesn't. like i said we always work it out. i cant wait to get married next year but there is so much that needs to be done before it gets here. hope I can make it. :)
