I don't know. I can't think of anything. Then again, the only weddings I went to were when each of my parents remarried and the wedding of some friend of my dad's. And I barely remember any of them.

I can't comment too much on the 70's or 90's but all of my cousins got married in the 80's. When I was a little girl I could think of nothing better than one of those huge white satin dresses with the tons of lace, pearls, and beads covering it. Then the long sleeves with the puff at the top that ***e down in the V over your fingers. Ohh yeah baby! Of course the big hat/veils and the V head pieces with the teardrop pearl that hung right between your eyebrowns were nice too. And let us not forget the actual hoopskirts under the dresses. My mother was in my cousins wedding and had to wear one. It was a black dress that look like it marched straight from 1864. It was off the shoulders with thick white lace hanging off of the neckline. Then the bottom of the skirt lifted up at intervals to reveal more white lace hanging down. At each lift was huge white bow. Then the flowers they carried were these big white satine in lace fans with red carnations arrainged on them. It was so traumatic I still remember it and I was like 9 at the time.

ROFL...that black dress sounds like my prom dress in 1988...the big southern belle dress with the lace and the hoop skirts...ugggh. I can't believe we liked anything like that ever. You know what though. I am sure we will look at our wedding pictures in 20 years and go ...what were we thinking? when styles change again.

when i was 4 i saw a pic of a neighbors rainbow wedding, I swore up untill just reciently that thisis what i would have, and i would ask every girl in my family so i could do enugh colors lol. I always wanted that extra poof in the back of my head before the viel went down (got that first marriage, bad bad look) The color peach was huge in the 80's, eeeeegods thats nasty(sorry to anyone havin that) Men in white tails, and girls in big gone with the wind dresses. 2 weddings like that, both peach theme. lol. I always wanted to dance to ann murry(now can stand that song) OOOOO i know, i loved 2 different styles of wedding dresses, the knee lenth ones, that had a train go around your waist. and u took it off at the reception. and then, the mermaid style one, ooo yes love that. loved how it went down on my hands lol. the back would have been in a shape to make a heart somehow, and have pearls hang down like fringe. (if u see me commit this crime please smother me) lastly big huge gaudy earings that pulled down my ear lobe so far it might have ripped off if i had to dance to mony mony
