i was wondering how weird it would look if my mom wore a pants suit? she dosent mind wearing a dress, however, i kinda like the idea of her being more comfortable, it is a formal event but i was reading in cosmo that pant suits are great for evening attire. IF IF IF worn with great shoes and accesories.

I think a pant suit is totallly acceptable - that's what my mom's going to wear.

I think comfort is the most important thing and it is 2005 so women don't have to wear dresses anymore :) There are also the wide leg pants that look like a skirt which I personally think look great

My best friend's mother wore a lovley very formal pant suit when her daughter got married. No one said a thing. She looked fabulous and was comfortable.

Tell mom to wear the pant suit. Then the two of you go out and get her a gorgeous pair of sparkly shoes, a matching handbag, and some super jewelery. She will look great and be comfy. That should be more important than Auntie Ethel wrinkling her nose. And if Auntie Ethel does wrinkle her nose politely (in that gentle way of yours that we all love) point out to her that her face will freeze that way. Then, she is going to have to explain that her frozen face is over something as silly as a pair of pants. ;)

Sure, I'd be cool with it. Pant suits are really nice.

BTW...Is Cosmo just the best in the world or what? I couldn't live without it!
