Dark purple and dark green

I’m looking for any pictures of a wedding/reception done in those colors. My parent’s bathroom is done in the same and I think the two colors are great together. The only problem is convincing Future hubby. He doesn’t think it will look good together. I just want him to make an educated decision before he says no to those colors. I have looked but I’m not as web savvy as most of you seem to be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also are those colors of for an august wedding?

I'm not a big purple or green fan, but that sounds pretty awesome. It honestly sounds like more of a fall/winter/early spring color scheme to me, but if it's later in August, I'm sure it will be fine. If not... who cares?

I'm not having a lot of luck with the search either, but I think it sounds beautiful. I did find references to mardi gras themed weddings and receptions using green, purple, and gold. You could try to find some pictures of those to convince him.

You could take him to the florist and show him how nicely dark purple flowers look with the greenery...(i know my fiance is much better with things he can touch as opposed to pictures)

Its funny - I can see it in my mind - and when I brought it up to my fiance, he had this dazed and confused look on his face - then I explained to him that your parents bathroom is those colors and he got even more confused and his nose scrunched up and he said "they're getting married in the bathroom?!?" guys just tend to not see things like we do in our mind's eye when we're in ultra-planning mode :P (yes I bopped him on the head for his silly comment about getting married in the bathroom :P)

Hehe, thanks. I still wasn’t able come up with any actual pictures of weddings with those colors so I may have to use the bathroom =/ While discussing the wedding last night he decided he wanted to have a Medieval wedding. Which is fine with me, but I still want it to look elegant. I have been looking up stuff on that all day.

Yes, Myra is really great and helpful and has tons of advice! Her daughter is great too! I immediately knew who you were talking about when you said mother/daughter website!
I've seen alot of "jewel tones" like emerald greens, plums, sapphire blues, burgandy, but I'm trying to find pics with just green and purple. This may be a tough one, but sounds so beautiful!

I found pics with the darkest purples possible... very few with dark green though, so you'll have to use your imagination. There are a few that are light purple as well, but I thought they might help anyway.

Thank you very much. You saved me from having to show him the bathroom. I will show him these when I get home, hopefully we can keep the purple color even if he doesn’t like green
