Who is using the regular guest books? Who is making their own? Does anyone have any cute ideas for making your own unique guest book?

i was thinking of the Photo matt frame. This was you can put your picture in the middle. There are a lot of differnt styles.

I'm doing a guest quilt. I'm going to buy quilt squares and fabric pens for everyone to sign them with and have a box there for them to be deposited in. Then my aunt is going to make the quilt with other materials in our wedding colors.

I've seen where you can buy a plate with your names & date already on it. Then you sign it with a special pen & bake it for a while to set the ink. I was at a wedding where they did this last year. The plate was round with gold trim & the pen was metallic gold. VERY pretty & different.

We're doing a regular guest book, but we kinda hated all the ones we found. We found one plain ivory book and found a really neat blue chorded ribbon that we're going to glue around it as a bookmark.

In addition, we're going to have a wish bowl. We're using photocorners to hold a business card in each program. We've also included a request on that page for them to share their thoughts, advice, etc. (since everyone's always so full of it). We ordered business cards from an office supply store that have our celtic knot on them and have a little business card holder book to put them in afterwards. We've got PLENTY of business cards, so we're also using them for seating cards and little notes for our hotel baskets.

I saw this at one wedding I attended and it is pretty cool if you are into the whole scrapbooking/creative memories thing (like I am) and are not having a huge wedding. (the one I saw it at had about 50 guests) They took an 81/2 x 11 scrapbook and ruled off the bottom of each page and as guests arrived, their guest book attendent took a picture of each guest/couple/family and then had them each write a quite sentiment on the ruled page with their names. Then, once they developed the pictures, the bride and groom took each picture and matched it up with each page and put the picture on the top half of the page with their advice/sentiments wrtiten below it. It was a very cool idea!

Instead of having the standard, sign in guest book, Get a photo album and someone with a polaroid ***era. Take a pic of each guest. Have the guest place their pic in the photo ablum and then have them fill out a little card for "wedding wishes" where they can write their bliessings, sentiments, etc and sign their names. On the page with thier pic, they would put their wish cards.

Another idea I always like - a newer modern trend - is to have an 8X10 wedding/engagement photo surrounded by a large mat within a nice frame. Instead of guests signing the typical 'guest book', they simply sign their names neatly around your picture (of course on the mat). This will be something fun for you to look at over and over through the years.

I hope this helps! Good luck w/ the wedding,

We are using a blank calander and having everyone sign on their birthday and they can write messages where the picture for each month usually goes. Its a good way to keep track of birthdays and a creative guest book
