Well What part of FL would you like to get married in. I am from Jacksonville FL and we had our wedding on the St. Johns River on a sunset steamwheeler boat. But when I looked at the prices of the above link, I don't have a clue were you could get a deal like that. I am sure it is lovely byt it is very inexpensive. My Husband and I had a very nice small wedding (65) for a total of $9,000. And we cut every corner we could. So good luck!!

there is really nothing in central florida that will host cheep weddings. I hate to say this but we are tourist central and everything no matter what always costs more.

I also wanted to state something just because it made me and my FH stand back for a few minutes because we were so shocked... if you are married in florida, and end up getting divorced, florida law states that you have a 22 month waiting period before filing! Plus, in that 22 months, no law's can be broken, as far as stalking, harrassing, police called, domestic abuse or anything like that. We found this out when we applied for a marriage license, and were handed a booklet of "rules to florida marriage" check into everything! we didnt even know about this untill a few weeks ago. shocking, but then i realized that every guy i ever met wile single was seperated! lol
(even if u try to get divorced in another state, they have to refer you back to florida to file)

I just want to say im not saying you will get divorced or anything like that! im sorry if it ***e off that way, but people come to key west a lot to get married and always hear bad horror stories 5 years down the road

I guess anywhere near a beach somewhere as long as it's not too far down near the tip of Florida. We won't be having any guests at all at our wedding so it will just be me and my Fiance and then we want to have our honeymoon there as well. I don't need anything super fancy but I don't want to get married at a court house then have no pictures of the Event.

Just recently I found out that you can have a wedding without all the hassle and Rent a dress and Tux and everything you need. You can also have pictures done. The prices are not that important but that is what I want, but I have no Idea where to look for a place like that and they really do even have a Drive-thru wedding but I don't want that.

I just need to know where some little chapels are that offer the same services as in the link. I'm not really focusing on the prices.

Again as I said I am not looking at prices and I am not trying to be Cheap but We won't have any Guests so what's the use in having a huge wedding when no one will be there.

people who get married and then get Divorced 5 years down the road actually means something went wrong with the marriage. When you get married you have to try to make it work and romance is a big key in a marraige. I'm sorry but I think getting married in Florida had nothing to do with their relationship, it was the people that got married. They are the one's responsible for not making it work.

Also me and my Fiance' are VERY much in love. We just want to have something to remember it all.

I don't EVER intend on getting divorced EVER. It will be until Death do us part just like in the Vows. Plus I would never marry unless I was sure we truly loved Each other and I do have my heartaches in the past but sonce he ***e along all that has changed and we are soo in love. If push comes to Shove I will make a marriage work... it always takes work.

I will look into it though, but I am sure my Fiance' knows about that already because he used to live in Florida and was married before, but they have been divorced for years now and his relationship with her wasn't great like it is with me and him. If I didn't have him now I would be a huge mess.

I understand but odviously those people did not make their marriage work, The vows state, Through sicness and in health, for better or Worse, Till death do us part. Meaning Regardless of how bad things turn out does not give a good reason for Divorse unless ther is spousal abuse or your spouse cheated but a little bad luck is not a good reason to me.

ok as far as little chapples, there is a cute little one in kissimmee florida, on 192(irlo bronson highway) last time i went down that way, there was road construction. But it has a pretty out door venue, http://www.whitechapelweddings.com/index.htm here is the link. hope this helps.

as far as what i said up there ^ and divorcing. florida actually does that because they want people to stay together and have a nice life.
i hope you didnt think i was saying anything about you personally, i just mentioned it because I ummm was thinking about it, (mil asked me something about my previous marriage and it sparked a bad memory)

If it will just be the 2 of you, why not find a notary to marry you on the beach? If you are interested in the New Smyrna Beach area, I know some notaries i can pass the info on.

I understand and I'm sorry it brought back a bad memory. Thanks sooo much for the link. I know about bad memories so I know what that feels like to be in a bad relationship. Again Thanks sooo much and I didn't think you were saying anything personal about me... it just seems alot of couples just give up on their marriage. I think that's nice that they made that a law to keep people together. THANKS!!!

Try National Association of Wedding Professionals (http://www.nawp.com) . I used this site a lot in planning my wedding, and it was pretty helpful. Do you know where in FL you'd like to go? There are plenty of FL brides on the board, including myself, so if you have any questions, just ask.

How about Sanibel or Captiva? Both are on the gulf coast, and both are stunningly beautiful. Check out the site above for officiants in the area.

we are getting married in october in sarasota. it will be just the 2 of us too.
(ann, i think our weddings will be more romantic). although we are not having a beach wedding - you should problably go for it. if you are planning to wed at the gulf coast, look up the web, there are some notarys and minister performing beach weddings.and don`t give a second thought about our marriage laws.i agree with them.good luck!

Depending on what part of Florida you're getting married in, you can go to www.affordableweddings.com they have reasonable rates and you can get married at any part of Greater Daytona . Check it out and hope it works for you.
