The story about us - SeaWorld
I started working at SeaWorld around March of 2000, I was 17 and it was my first job. Noe & I met at Sea Lion Stadium and did not like each other in the beginning (for a few reasons, I am not going into). Towards the end of that season we began to talk and become friends. During the off-season (around November), I found Noe's phone number and decided to call him. He answered and said he would call me back, and never did!
In January of 2001 I decided to go back to SeaWorld for another season and was hired back but into the ops office. On my first day there, I remember walking into the office with Rene and out walks Noe in a gray SeaWorld polo with his laptop bag. We just said a hi how are you thing and walked off. We started chatting around the office and be***e friends again. Once in a while he would ask me to go into the park and help him with some stuff. We would go in a golf kart out into the empty park. Sometime during my first week working there, we went out into the park and he asked me about my boyfriend (Noe didn't like him) and I blurted out "I think I am going to break up with him, there is just nothing special there." And I remember thinking OMG I hadn't told anyone that, including myself!!
There was one day we had lunch (Subway) in the middle of the park, it was so peaceful and sweet. After lots of flirting around the office and highlighter fights, everyone started to take notice.
I remember the exact moment I realized I had a crush on Noe. I ***e into work after my classes that day in a good mood anticipating seeing Noe. I walked into the other office to file some employee files and I over heard Yesenia and Michael talking about Noe had called and said he is not coming in. I turned to them and said, "oh, Noe isn't coming in today?" And they both just looked at me and started teasing me about it. I just said no no we are just friends, I have a boyfriend and I closed the filing cabnit and walked back in the other room. As I sat in my chair I thought, I do like him, he gives me butterflies!
From there we would talk online (I have the saved IMs) and on the phone about being together. Then all of a sudden there was someone else in the picture, Pam.

Pam also worked with us; she and Noe started spending a lot of time together and hanging out outside of work. I really couldn’t go out that much because my parents were very strict. Luckily Pam and I had no interest of talking about Noe. As she trained me to work in the same area with her (I was promoted); we be***e good friends. I am so glad that Pam and I be***e friends, she is a sweet girl. It was kind of funny because the people around us thought it was so odd that we got along so well. But we had no reason to not like each other. Eventually I started to break my parents’ rules a little bit and hang out with him and our friends a little more.
I remember one day, we decided to meet early for breakfast at I-Hop before my English class and his interview for a fulltime position in a different department in the park. We ended up having a 2 hour breakfast and didn’t make it to either time commitment. We mostly talked about changing schools, us, and everything else. After our 2 hour breakfast, we walked to his truck and I sat in the drivers seat while he leaned over and we chatted some more. Then he would come close to me like he was going to kiss me and go to reach for something behind me, like he was cleaning his truck. He did it a few times and OMG I was so nervous because I wanted him to kiss me, but he wouldn’t! He was being a punk and a tease! Later that week at a friend’s house, he pulled me over to him and kissed me. Soon after that we were officially together.
Noe decided he really wanted to go to school at Tech and asked me if I would consider transferring. I said I didn’t know anything about the school, but I would like to go away for school my soph or junior year. We went up there to look at the ***pus and the programs for 3 days in May. I loved it, the school, being with him, everything in that little town.
In August 2001 we went up there together, us in his 97 black F150 and my mom following us with all of my stuff. We went to school there for three years together, summers included and ***e back to our hometown when we finished this past August.
